Correct, but anonymity doesn't generate stupidity, it merely allows the stupid person to show it.

I guess I'm not really talking about how it makes people stupid, but how you're free to do as you please without being stopped, at least most of the time. Like growing up again but without being scolded when you do something bad.

Yeah, it's a stupid enabler. It allows the stupidity to spread unchecked, which I think breeds ever more.

Now that we are advancing into a technological age, kids won't be able to survive or do anything else with themself without having an internet connection at some time. People will grow up with it around them that as time advances, the internet will seem like a place of basic need.

For example, i know people (and i know there are tons more) who can't go ONE day without logging on to myspace.

and you would think that with all these kids and people on, that they would get some source of information about the world around them, and be able to pinpoint on a map where iran is and not put it on fuckin australia...
