Question - HC

If Kris and myself decide to you a HC3... Would you like a Month Change? If so... What month?

I actually quite like when it was, because it's the beginning of the semester, and there isn't any tests yet.

How'd you guys do this year?

Some might like the winter atmosphere of a black/pagan themed metal festival, but I'm completely neutral and would support it and attend no matter when it's held.

If it has to be in the winter, late December/early January would be the best time, during Winter Break.

Considering that the summer is essentially out of the question, I think the current time of the festival is pretty good.

any month is good for me, but summer is probably more unlikely since I might be on vacation

heathen = pagan = and the Autumn is always nice for a spot of ol' pagan metal

When trying to entice perspective travelers, January in Minnesota is a tough sell. I'm obviously just guessing, but I would suspect a more mild month would draw more travelers.

I suppose it's cheaper to fly bands in during the "off peak" season, which is why it was held in January anyway....?

....unless....less bands will be flown in, so more domestic...cheaper bookings....change the month.....ahh, it's all becoming clearer now.

I say stick with the month of Jan! The weather suits it perfectly and shit, I'll come up with any excuse to get off of work to attend it! Screw fall, COLD HARSH WINTERERER

I suggest any weekend other than the 3rd weekend of January (as it has been so far), which is also always the same weekend as the annual NAMM trade show in Anaheim, CA (National Association of Music Merchants) which is attended by lots of metal musicians and people who work in the music gear/instrument industry, etc...

I think the overall 'mood' of January fits the theme of the HC. How about the 2nd weekend of January (around the 15th)?
