quick computer question regarding DVD players...

im not too pc savvy...i need some help.

i have a laptop from the USA, but I live in London. I cannot watch UK/European DVD's on it even though it has a DVD player. can someone guide me to a link/piece of software i can download that will enable me to watch these DVD's please? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I assume you're probably using windows of some sort? go into the properties of your DVD drive and than one of the tabs will allow you to change the region(you can only do this a certain # of times so choose wisely)

This might be a good try:
Use DVD shrink. It might work. Do a google search for "DVD shrink" and there might be a mirror site to download it. The only "bad" thing is you have to rip the DVD into your laptop hard drive, given that the region-free thing would work.
