I've got a Line 6 Pod Pro, a Yamaha GEP50 and a Rat Distortion pedal running into a Peavey Classic 50/50 power amp out to a TubeWorks 4x12. My Problem is that after I added the rat, I only crank up the POD's output volume to about 30% before everything sounds bogged out and really shitty. I've tried playing around with the volumes of everything, and how its hooked up, but I can still only turn the output to 30%
the way its all hooked up now is I've got the GEP50 plugged into the Pod's effects loop and the Pod's output going into the rat, and the rat into the power amp. The GEP50 is purely there for mod pitches only. The Pod uses the Insane amp setting with the gain turned to about 40%. The rat is running about 25% gain, with the out all the way up (the volume doesnt effect the problem I have). The poweramp I can have at any volume level and the Bogged out sound will occur if I turn the Pod's output up too much

Any ideas on what I should do? I love the sound I'm getting but it wont get loud enough to play live with.

It all depends, for studio you could link up however many distortions you want to use at the same time by using a reamp box. For live purposes, you might have to sacrfice complex set ups for somthing faster to load on stage. I agree the POD, or PODXT sounds great by itself. You can down load pre made distortions from the line 6 library of sounds they have, which one I used for the newest Vehemence album.
