Random recommendation THEARD

JZZBLK (you figure it out)

a band from umeå. these is only rehearsal recordings but audio-engineered this band live last weekend and thought it was really engaging (if difficult) music

Interesting music but the vocals are an acquired taste. Dudes from Ven Buens Ende and Doheimsgard (sp?) ...kinda voivod-ish in a way, amongst other things.

I've never bothered listening because it seems very pretentious, unoriginal, devoid of feeling and difficult for the sake of being difficult. Am I wrong?

you're wrong about everything except the last part

Oh, and this too...Erik needs to stop listening to that gay shoegaze BM and start with this.

The wall on which the prophets wrote
Is cracking at the seams.
Upon the instruments of death
The sunlight brightly gleams.
When every man is torn apart
With nightmares and with dreams,
Will no one lay the laurel wreath
When silence drowns the screams.

Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back
And laugh.
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying.

Between the iron gates of fate,
The seeds of time were sown,
And watered by the deeds of those
Who know and who are known;
Knowledge is a deadly friend
When no one sets the rules.
The fate of all mankind I see
Is in the hands of fools.

Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back
And laugh.
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying.

This is how you write lyrics folks.

Is that some bullshit remaster or what
The bass sounds awfully forward and the cymbals have way too much muscle from what I can remember from my cd

or maybe it's just my headphones

You seen this one Kenny? Pretty spot-on to the album version aside from lyrics, its nice to be able to watch the musicians so closely though. If only talent could be transmitted through Youtube videos and into my hands.

YES. love this video. i absolutely love the beginning melody for the reason that it is one of the best electric guitar melodies of all time. sort of sucks that they had him fill it in with the violin. still sounds great, but fripp should get on that fucking guitar. bruford destroys it as always

easily on the top 10 songs of all time list

God what a beautiful song.... (it's a Hüsker Dü cover)
