Funny thing, because I'm black and live in a ghetto area where it's playing pretty much everywhere I go. I was raised on it and my family listens to the rap all the time, ad nauseum.
Funny thing, because while they're listening to Eminem and DMX I'm listening to Tristania and Opeth. It's hillarious on the seldom times when our music clashes. We both get disgusted.
On the plus side, as least my family has some metal taste as well, albeit mostly charts music or nu-metal and mainstream bands like Linkin Park, new Metallica, and System of a Down.

yeah i really despise those lyrics, i made a rap song up myself, which goes something like:

having said that i do think films like boyz in the hood etc. are ok, i think its quite funny looking at these idiots trying to act all bad. i think its not meant to be funny but well it is
