OK... so between my thread requesting suggestions and JK's thread, "Any albums released since 2000 in your "top 10 of all time" list?", I've compiled the list. Please review it for the following:

1. CDs released prior to the year 2000
2. CDs that are clearly not the band's best since 2000.
3. Glaring oversights. For instance, "Zod, what are you smoking? How the fuck did you leave out _______!?"

Lastly, do not vote. This is merely the list of contenders. This list will be put into brackets on Monday morning.

Below The Lights > All other Enslaved albums. It should stand!

Edit: Also, isn't Deathrace King a late 1999 album? Correct me if I am wrong though.

Yeah, I just looked, April 2000. I fail at remembering an albums release date, which means I fail at life. I must now jump off a moderately sized building.

Jump off a chair instead. We care. <3

Anyways, the list looks fine imo. Its missing some/a lot of stellar releases but that all comes down to the collective opinion of RC. Let's get this show on the road. :)

Edit: yeah, AA or FL for Drudkh...EASILY.

Moonsorrow - Voimasta Ja Kuniasta

Kind of surprised this got chosen for Moonsorrow. There's a number of people on this board (myself included) who rate Verisakeet as easily Moonsorrow's best. I think this is a fairly contentious issue though around here though...

Also agree about Autumn Aurora.

I would suggest Autumn Aurora over Blood in Our Wells for Drudkh.
There are a few bands I knew would create controversy on which disc to use; Enslaved, Drudkh, Primordial, Moonsorrow, Agalloch, Negura Bunget and Isis, to name a few. In the two threads I referenced in my original post, there seemed to be more love for "Blood in Our Wells". Either would have been a fair choice, and I suspect either will do equally well in the coming poll. Again, if there's a wave of "Autumn Aurora" love in this thread, I'll be happy to swap it out.

Ironic. I was busy typing up the post right below yours, when you posted this. Moonsorrow is definitely a band I expected discent on. And for what it's worth, I agree, "Verisakeet" is the superior disc.

Also agree about Autumn Aurora.
On this, I'm torn.

Actually, despite my previous post, I vote you just go with the original list and save us from all the arguing about what should and should not be included.

I think Autumn Aurora would easily be preferred over BiOW here.

That said, Doom brings up another good point on Moonsorrow.

Also, yeah, Isis - Oceanic needs to replace Panopticon imho. :)

That's why I posted mp3s, I think a good majority of RCers should like this shit.

Also, why is "post-rock" included on this list? On the same token, I guess you can also say why is Weiland and Tuoni on there too though, huh? Fuggit.

edit: I just noticed FartO))) :zombie:
