Not that my opinion counts, but I'm surprised that this album was the best of the decade. I guess a lot of it depended on the various match-ups. Some wonderful material, but I could never get past the clean vocals on this record.

Honestly, I find the harsh vocals as annoying as the clean. It's like he's whispering. It's completely annoying. I think he's one of the worst vocalists out there and completely ruins what would otherwise be completely enjoyable music.

I think the problem with these tournaments is, in the end, it comes down to the lowest common denominator. Go look at JK's stickied thread for proof of this. "The Mantle" got three votes for disc of the decade, yet won this tournament in a landslide.
