REAPER and outboard?

Starting to build up my outboard collection, just picked up two more 163x's for 50 bucks. Anyways, how are you reaper users routing this? It's kind of a bitch using reinsert, seems like it's not properly detecting delay compensation. A lot of users report the same thing over at the reaper forums.

This makes me want to go back to cubase or try studio one and PT

Works fine for me as long as I don't change the latency of the buffers on my interface. If I do that I've to reset the delay compensation for each instance.

I do find it seems to be eating my CPU which is a bit weird. My computer really struggles when I'm running mixes out to 4-5 different units at the same time.
