Hmmmm...me and my mates are sometimes partial to random mishes in our cars...does that mean that Phil Collins, Poison and Funeral For A Friend fans are on the same mental level as Opeth fans?I bet he's the kind of guy who buys a ferrari, and only drives it to the local supermarket. Whereas Opeth fans like to go as many places as they can and enjoy the ride whilst not caring where there meant to be going. Whats more fun?

Especially when it's obvious that the Opeth only rule is not being enforced and the board is largely unmoderated...and what also annoys me is that Steven Wilson gets blamed for ruining for Opeth every time his name is mentioned...I've even seen him referred to as the Yoko Ono of Opeth. I have no problem with people saying Opeth sucked after (insert album here), but try to put more effort into your arguments.NAD said:I love that when people say "only talk about Opeth here!" because it's painfully obvious they weren't around for the days of the Chat/Off-topic portion of that ridiculous board.
I'd venture to say 95% of the threads in the archives of the Opeth forum have NOTHING to do with the band, or even music.

Man, that is the first time I've heard that said. But then I live on the RC island.lizard said:Steven Wilson was the best thing ever to happen to opeth, dragging them out of the creative cul de sac they were in.
