Reccomend me some bands!

im looking for some new music to listen to, i basically like symphonic soprano female fronted band like nightwish. I am looking for more of those bands but there dont seem to be any except for ngihtwish and evenescence. Would anyone here know of any syphonic metal bands that have soprano female singers?

edit:ye i know evanescence isnt symphonic but it has a amazing soprano singer!

there are a few... but there names escape my mind... I did see ads for these bands in the new Metal Maniacs issue for female fronted band though I can't vouch for them since I have not heard their music:

Leaves Eyes
Sirenia
The Forgotten Goddess or Echoes of Eternity (not sure which is the band name or album name)

Also if you like Evanescence you'll probably like Lacuna Coil who are much better imo...

I bought one of Nightwish's albums and didn't get into it... so I never bought another female fronted band's album except Lacuna's Comalies album which i liked...

There is a recommendations forum. But I suggest Luca Turilli's Dreamquest - Lost Horizons. Its an 'Electro-Symphonic Power Metal' album (according to Luca), with a female singer named Myst.

While their music doesn't focus on the lead female vocalist all the time, they're excellent symphonic/operatic metal nonetheless. I got started on symphonic metal through Nightwish, but I quickly switched over to Therion after hearing their stuff - especially Vovin.

Draconian you may like, but they do get very, very slow and doomy. Female vocals are nice though.

Within Temptation, Epica, Sirenia, and Sonata Arctica are some female-fronted bands you can try...I think they're all symphonic metal...also Tristania.

If you are into Nightwish you will definitely love this band: RISING SUNSET. It is a melodic power metal band featuring classical female vocals and violin and excellent guitar solos.You can also visit their myspace profile.
