Recommend rack mp3 player for gigs

Hello guys,

would you recommend some good (maybe cheap) mp3 player for playing samples on gigs?

It should have:
- display
- small wheel for quick selection of the song
- automatic stop after song
- no CD

Btw additional question - my idea is:

mp3 song (left channel metronome with samples / right ch. only samples) ->
mp3 player ->
small mix - two separate outputs ->
left to drummer's headphones / right for the sound engineer

is that the way you dealing with samples too, or you have another idea?

Your idea is good, all you really need is an ipod. As much as I hate to admit it, they are fairly reliable mp3 players. I've never had issues with playback on one of them before, just make sure it's not going to have some stupid app interrupt it mid-way through a song with an idiot sound.

As a side note, your username and avatar combination make me giggle like a bitch. Brilliant!

Does the iphone (on 100%?) work on this stuff? And btw, devices which work there, are only ipod and iphone?

Didnt test with Iphone but its written in the description!
YOu can also use every other player via chinch-->jack or something else.
