We had a similar thread a while ago and it was something of a success, so how about we relaunch it?

This time, recommend to the masses TWO CDs which you think rule a great deal. Not necessarily new ones, not necessarily classics which everyone should own, but CDs which you think not enough people have heard. Mine are:

Geoff Tate - his solo album. Excellent, non-Queensrychey, not-really-metal-at-all stuff.

Fates Warning, "Still Life" - a great live album from the A Pleasant Shade of Gray tour. Two discs with great songs like The Ivory Gate of Dreams, The Eleventh Hour, Point of View, Monument, We Only Say Goodbye (awesome song!!) and APSOG in its entirety on disc one. Great stuff.

Dark Tranquility- The Gallery: Best melodic death cd ever, and i mean forever.

Amorphis- Tuenola: I know i always recomend this, but you basterds never buy it, cept for spiff and spawny, but spawny doesn't like it cos e'd rather listen to linkin park. GET IT.

I've got a signed single from one of the blokes - the guitarist guy who also does the growly singing, I think (can't be bothered checking his name - something Finnish, anyway). Personally signed too, cos an old mate of mine knew him and got it for me. :)

Lynch Mob - Wicked Sensation. 1992. First solo album from George Lynch after 'leaving' Dokken. Excellent album - cross between Bon Jovi and sleazy Dokken.

Warlock - Triumph & Agony. Mid to late 80's. I rate this album right up there with Holy Diver! It's fantastic. It was the final Warlock album before Doro went solo. For those who don't know - female vocals.

Sepultura- ROORBACK. Sepultura's newie, pay the extra and get the 2 disc version, sure its only an E.P. but fuck it your a fan like me its worth it

Anthrax-We've Come for you all. Because its the best 'thrax album sice Vol 8 a few years ago thats why, if you don't have it yet get the fuck outta my face and go get it :loco:

they are, but not in your typical sense, it's hard to explain, just buy deception revelation, it's like 15 bucks, has new stuff and old stuff

fuckin owns

you'll probably shit yousrself when you hear gryphons drumming.that guy is fuckin fast

Anyone who likes melodic death should check out Catamenia to, like bodom but without that annoying keyboard sound, ( you know, DUN) thats they do every 5 seconds. Eskhata is a fuckin top album.
