Recording guitars.....

Hey James,
just wondering how you tend to like recording guitars (particuarly rhythm guitars....but lead aswell), as far as number of tracks and how you like to pan them.

Also, what tunings and string gauges do you use a lot these days.

usually 4 tracks.. 2 full left, 2 full right.. sometimes use two different amps.. SM57 on the cab. i'm just using 10-48 i believe, without checking.
