Hey guys I brought out my old Triple Rectifier and was trying to get some sick tones out of it, only the damn radio was coming through loud and clear! I was using all Monster Cables (SP1000 insturment/speaker and a Powerline 300 plugged into a MP PRO2500) I had a Schecter Hellraiser plugged in w/ a 808 in front too

What am I missing, I've had worse gear than this plugged up to it when I was younger and a whole lot less recto-radio coming through

I think it might have something to do with location. Other then that, how much gain are you using? and if you decide that it's not worth having just send it over to me. I'll even pay shipping. :D

It depends on a lot of variables, but if it continues to be a problem try shielding the inside of the head with copper tape or sheet metal (and be careful doing it, caps can kill you)

or run a wah wah in front of it, make some crazy shit and record it with the radio in

On the back it was Silicon Diode Setting and Bold Setting with a new 4amp Sloblo Fuse. I was on Channel 3 Modern with settings like:

Treble: 11
Mids: 11
Bass: 10
Gain: 11
Presence: 12
Master: 10 oclock

The 808 was like OD 8 , Tone 8, Balance 12 oclock

I don't think any of those settings were ridiculous but I dunno, maybe I haven't played this amp in probably like 8 months.

It's most likely a perfect condition that just happened, the weather, the cord you were using, the placement of the amp that just happened to be a perfect receiver at that moment.
Hell theres a club in kansas city, two block from a transmitter and when you play there you might as well PLAN on it happening.

I have had countless tube amps do this on occasion, it happens, I wouldnt worry about it unless it becomes a constant problem

It's definately a constant problem with the recto, I've tried it like 10 times in the past 3 days...I live probably like 3 or 4 miles from a campus radio station, think that could be it?

It's really is a strange alignment that's going on, could be something as simple as swapping your V1 and V2 tubes changes the equation just enough to make it stop, you got nothing to lose by trying it,
I'd start with the head and cab plugged in, see if it does it then, add components until it starts up, then you can isolate it.

I've had pedals do it before - mainly wah pedals, but I wasn't running an OD then.

I do notice, however, if I leave my OD808 plugged in without a guitar in the input, and tap it, it rings through the amp, which makes me think the circuit isn't as protected as it could be.
