Releases 2009!

Wait, seriously, Flag in the Ground is the GOOD track?

Jesus christ. :ill:
I was hoping it was the rare bad one since it was written during the early days.
Unfortunate that we've added a new band to the list of "Groups That No One Gives A Shit About Anymore."

That new album is bad but still better than Unia, which was total crap. My favorite song has to be The last amazing grays, which is a good song btw. I wish they could start doing catchy power metal once again. I guess the number of power metal bands that I care about went from 1 to 0.

Dude Flag in the Ground is so amazingly better than any other track, and it's a fairly poor track. You really have to listen for yourself. It's hysterical. The lyrics and cadence of the vocals are just god awful. Aeonic said it best with his Nightmare Before Christmas shit opera categorization (btw i lold hard upon reading that). I gotta say that even Unia was a superior album...

Oh and yes, chalk it up on the list of bands no one gives a shit about. My prediction: Next to swing and miss is COB

COB is already on that list since AYDY? :p

^ Nice. Yeah I can still enjoy Blooddrunk though. If it were any other band besides Bodom it would be like 8-9/10 material. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for one more album. But yeah theys on huge downhills paths.

Since the Trashed Lost & Strungout EP for me. I remember when that leaked and I couldn't sleep the whole night. I don't understand how they could go from such a solid, unique, catchy, consistent band to such shit...

yep thats just right

Follow the Reaper and Blooddrunk BIG (bad.. sure!) Difference.

If they would have continued their old style they could be as epic as skyfire, but they arent since FtR anymore.

Hate Crew Deathroll was a pretty solid album too, but Now Alexi has no vocal power and seems to have lost his ability to play clean solos.

You're right Aeonic, when I heard TL&S for the first time it was like a huge punch in the face. Nowhere near the quality of their 4 first albums.

The first Dethalbum was terrible.
I agree... but I think it's because the music is really only supposed to last about 30 seconds a song. It's good/funny/appropriate music for the show, but really isn't meant for an album format. Not that I'm surprised they put out an album considering the popularity of the show. The only thing that frustrates me about it is knowing that there are legions of Dethklok fans out there who are missing out on stuff that's similar but actually good. Or do they only like the music because it's familiar to them, and they associate it with a funny show?

This is exactly what I thought of when I heard the album years ago.

I need the Katatonia album to be available for preorder soon. I am pining to hear that album.

This is one of the best songs I've ever heard from Katatonia. The Emmure riff in the begging made me lol hard at first, but it actually works in the chorus very well.
