wow, let me first say that that was a very well-written review!
to be honest, i expected your review to be way more harsh, but you were quite nice for them
the album is also very short -.-' like 34 minutes. not that i expected +7 minutes songs, but still... also the latest cob album is just 36 minutes but they always write 9 songs. nothing more, nothing less.
Thanks for the good review. The local music store usually has new releases for about $10..for that price I'll buy it. Good call on the ridiculous song titles. Although, I think Thrasher is an improvement on Vulture-Culture and at least Ghengis Khan is a more worthy subject for a song than Jeffrey Dahmer.
Your probably right, but I am one of the Max Cavalera fanboys you mentioned in the article. Omen was disappointing, perhaps I should save my money and just stick with old Sepultura, Nailbomb and Dark Ages.
jeffrey dahmer, master cannibal, jeffrey dahmer, master of the gruelsome !
i thought Omen was a great album. marc rizzo does some crazy stuff there with his guitar. it's also plain awesome to look at him while he's performing on stage. so much energy! but max' riffs are way to easy for him, he should play more challenging stuff
I loved Dark Ages and Conquer, Inflikted was class too. Omen was.... decent. It took ages to grow on me but it was still a bit disappointing, but Blunt Force Trauma is the biggest disappointment since Primitive
listened to the whole album this morning. thought it was pretty poo. no substance to it. had the odd cool riff and the odd good bit but its just ... well poo overall.
