I thought I told you

WE WILL KILL YOU IF YOU DON'T LIKE IRON MAIDEN BECAUSE THEN YOU'RE A FUCKING WIMP

We = you and "fuck off den melodiske svartmetallen"? Hmmm, at least it'd be HIGHLY EROTIC to be killed by such handsome lads.

Why in the name of all things that are sacred are you heading to Oslo for that gig anyway? Are they not coming to UMEÅ or LULEÅ or SKELLEFTEÅ or some other weird place in Sweden?

Actually, "we" = every metalhead in existence. There is not a single person in the world that can say 1) I am seriously into heavy fucking metal and 2) I dislike Iron Maiden. Anyone who even tries is OBVIOUSLY a poser faggot. I'm not even joking.

I'm not a metalhead per se. I enjoy most death metal, a lot of black metal, a lot of pagan and viking metal, and some thrash metal. I DO dislike traditional heavy metal such as Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, though. Oh well. I can live with being a poser faggot :loco:

Poseur* faggot. Spell it right.

For the record, Judas Priest > Iron Maiden, both because they reek of speed metal glory and because without Priest, there is no Maiden. So I'm going to add them to the equation–if you don't like Judas Priest AND Iron Maiden, you are a poseur faggot.

Yeah I don't like Priest or Maiden very much. I don't dislike them though.

And yes, only poseurs spell poseur poser.

Judas Priest meant close to nothing for the rise to stardom of Iron Maiden.
The sound of classic (Dickinson-era) Maiden is clearly dervied from Stained Class and Sad Wings of Destiny. I'm not calling them a ripoff or anything–that would be like calling Candlemass a Black Sabbath ripoff, or Morbid Angel a Possessed ripoff–but just stating that the influence of Priest is obvious and important.

70's Judas Priest was immensely influential on a bunch of metal, including 'Maiden, but when I see SRP fanboys and the like calling Iron Maiden a "Judas Priest tribute band" or some nonsense like that I can't but laugh. Fuck that.
