Actually, "we" = every metalhead in existence. There is not a single person in the world that can say 1) I am seriously into heavy fucking metal and 2) I dislike Iron Maiden. Anyone who even tries is OBVIOUSLY a poser faggot. I'm not even joking.

I'm not a metalhead per se. I enjoy most death metal, a lot of black metal, a lot of pagan and viking metal, and some thrash metal. I DO dislike traditional heavy metal such as Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, though. Oh well. I can live with being a poser faggot

The sound of classic (Dickinson-era) Maiden is clearly dervied from Stained Class and Sad Wings of Destiny. I'm not calling them a ripoff or anything–that would be like calling Candlemass a Black Sabbath ripoff, or Morbid Angel a Possessed ripoff–but just stating that the influence of Priest is obvious and important.

70's Judas Priest was immensely influential on a bunch of metal, including 'Maiden, but when I see SRP fanboys and the like calling Iron Maiden a "Judas Priest tribute band" or some nonsense like that I can't but laugh. Fuck that.
