Ripped off

When actors from Home & Away get nominated for the Logies, it dissolves any credibility the awards may have had.

The Logies never had any credibility to start with :)
Its a little known fact that it was started an excuse for tv people to all get pissed in the same place :D

Well I have always thought of them as a joke myself. Mainly because there's only a handful of Australian televisions shows worth watching.
It's weird, because we have no shortage of genuinely good actors but the only show we seem to be able to make is cop or hospital dramas... that turn into soaps after the first 2 seasons..

I should have taken an Arts degree at uni because I love writing and filming. I think I'd be able to show the hacks of the indusrty a thing or two! :D

Its a little known fact that Sydo could write a better show than most Aussie soapwriters, so I hope he gets the chance. Would be good to see

We never seem to be able to do any good sitcoms either, why is that?

No idea, but maybe because the writers are simply not funny.

Although I don't like the show at all, Secret Life Of Us is probably the best and most original thing we've seen made in Australia for a very long time.
Good Guys, Bad Guys was pretty good too, but it never lasted long.

I like The Crocodile Hunter, Big Brother and Neighbours.
Thats the best Australia has to offer.....

Hey Day  When that little gimmicky kid came on you knew it was all over.

Of COURSE they should have won the goddamn Logie! :hotjump:
Maybe next year, after they introduce a category for "Only Australian show worth watching."

I'm going off to sulk. Bloody Here's Humphrey! There's nothing worth getting up in the mornings for now, at least not until the new Hi-5 season starts ;).

There used to be an Aussie sitcom about a newly married couple on 9 in the mornings. My god it was bad! Nothing funny at all in it!

The best sitcom we had was All Together Now!

When you're watching the Logies, make sure you ignore all awards that start off with "Most Popular..." Awards voted on by the general public are worthless, because the general public knows nothing. Only pay attention to the "Most Outstanding..." awards.

Case in point - best film, as voted by the readers of some women's magazine for the People's Choice awards (remember them?) was "Police Rescue: The Movie". People know nothing.

Yeah but are'nt the Logies or some of them deterrmined by the desparates that buy TV Week and actully vote. Was'nt Wendy Harmer funny as a fart in a elavator but she was good yaers ago on the Big Gig now that should have won a Logie.

In the Sydney Morning Herald she said the experiance of hosting the logies was similar to "Getting your own slowly chainsawed off with a blunt chainsaw"

Bring back Micallif i say,he made the Logies fun to watch.

What he said. I mean, "Big Brother" being one of Australia's highest rating shows, doesn't say much for the general public does it?

*ducks punches from resident Big Brother fans*
