I am proud to announce the first RobRokkenAudio release! Roktion 808 Distortion VST - Windows Only

The Roktion 808 is an all purpose stereo distortion unit, capable of subtle mellow overdrive to full face peeling distortion. The Roktion 808 utilizes 3 gain stage of which 2 of the primary stages allow you to shape your sound. Just like its harware friends, the Roktion 808 includes an input buffer to clean the incoming signal and prepare it for the gain staging.

Unlike it's hardware friends, it comes with a bypass switch that enables you to toggle the input buffer on/off for ultimate control of your tone. Turn on the EQ and pop the hood and you have access to a 4 band parametric equalizer! Try out the RobRokkenAudio Roktion 808 and travel throuth the dark paths walked by Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Motorhead until you reach the land of modern high gain!

I'll probably use this the way I use my Boss HM2, which is on a dry guitar by itself to complement another tone. So, kinda like how some people mix 5150 and Dual Rec, I'll mix, say, HyBrit and Roktion808, or Juicy77 and an HM2.

This unit definitely gives me the broadest distortion range of them all, though that low end is very hard to tame.

Honestly, I cant say that I've used it on bass, I'll do a short clip of it on bass through the JS amp sim that comes with REAPER. I have a feeling at low gain this puppy will be interesting, Actually, I may be putting a MIX knob on this, now that I think of it.

Here is a guy who used it on synth bass, sure its a little extreme for what you are talking about I'm sure LOL:
