It's is absolute utter shit, David Gilmour and Neil Young should be in the top 10, and they're loads better than that Kurt Cobain. (nothing against him, but it's all so horribly over-hyped after his death)

what about the fuck from the white stripes..... dzeezes. he dont even deserve to be in the top 1000....

How could you ever make a list like that without everyone having sth to complain about? I doubt I'd even be able to make a list myself I'd be satisfied with.

yeah true. but the point is that they wanna please the youngsters. this list has nothing to do with being a reference. its about commerce.

hum I have no problem with Nirvana, I don't wanna blame the dead and I simply don't know much about it but Kurt was not that one of the best guitar players actually... the music he did wasn't that difficult I think, but he might have been able to play something more difficult... damn I may never know it...

kurt is there because
1. cobain is a myth (and i hate that cause nirvana is really superb)
2. kurt had lots of feeling in his guitarplay

but still... its not right to put him on 12. even in the list. tho i adore nirvana.

hm, is there even one women in this list? I think one no? strange, is guitar playing a male thingie? ;)
As one of my music teachers once said:

"Women are only great at playing music, men are great at creating it..."

I don't totally agree but when I look around it's maybe 80% true innit? :err:
