Friend of mine just bought a Carvin V series, he loves it. I have yet to try it out, but I'm looking forward to running an Ibanez & a Caparison through it. I miss my tube amps like you wouldn't believe!
I got to try a Legacy combo, and I was NOT impressed at all.
I used to use a Marshall (JCM800 from 1986-7), and then got hooked on Mesa Boogie (MK IV), and in my opinion, the Legacy couldn't touch either one, FWIW.... Everyone's ears are different, just try before you buy...
What are you playing now?
Can't beat tubes...don't care what anyone says.
The thing to me about modelling amps is the lack of dynamic response...I feel I lose the subtlties...like taking your guitar volume down, picking attack, etc.
Seriously? I love the sound I get when I turn my volume knob down on my Line 6. I can really hear how hard I hit the string with the pick, and I end up getting some sweet Vai-esque sounds.[/QUOTE
^It wasnt an intentional reference but it ended up being so.
What Line 6 do you have?
I have a spider II as well...but my friend gave me his DSL 2000 so I've been using that haha. I found it very very hard to tweak my spider to make it good. I just gave up.

Isn't he that freak guitar guy? He does nothing for me.
I agree Freak Kitchen is better than the solo stuff... I like Matthias more for his technical ability and creativity as a guitar player rather than his actual songs...
