Sarah Palin - bulldog and barracuda?

The fact that Palin's completely sold to Insane McCain's "Endless War" strategy is the prime reason why The Barracuda won't be getting my vote.

Palin takes tough line on Russia

Sarah Palin, the running mate of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, on Thursday said the US would be obligated to go to war with Russia if it invaded a Nato ally – a status she advocated for Georgia, which Russia invaded last month.

One excellent reason NOT to vote for The Barracuda. Perhaps she's too ignorant of foreign policy issues to know that only a few months ago, PRESIDENT George W. Bush tried to force NATO to grant membership for Georgia. But what happened? Oh! There are OTHER members of NATO. And they said, "No fucking way." And then Georgia proved just how good a NATO member its army would be by first attacking Russian forces and then running away like little bitches instead of defending itself. Oh yes. NATO could really use a member like that! But I guess Vice President The Barracuda can succeed where the President failed.

Ms Palin, the self-styled “hockey mom” whose selection was criticised by Democrats and some Republicans as rash given her foreign policy inexperience, was giving her first full media interview since Mr McCain chose her last month.

Yes. MRS. Palin's lack of experience means she'd simply adopt Insane McCain's policy without blinking (or thinking).

Her response, while technically accurate, is likely to reinforce the debate about whether the Alaska governor should be a “heartbeat away from the presidency”.

Being "a heartbeat away" is probably the best part of her candidacy, considering how awful Insane McCain would be.

“I mean, that is the agreement when you are a Nato ally, is if another country is attacked, you’re going to be expected to be called upon and help,” she told ABC’s Charlie Gibson.

Stupid obligations and knee-jerk ractions is what made World War I such a mindless slaughter and World War II's brutal savagery inevitable. I guess The Barracuda has got no problem repeating history for a good ole World War III.

“We have got to keep an eye on Russia. For Russia to have exerted such pressure in terms of invading a smaller democratic country, unprovoked, is unacceptable.”

See, this is why I call her grandfather Insane McCain. Georgia is not a democracy and Russia was actually provoked. Something like, I dunno, breaking a Russian-guaranteed cease-fire, a night-long rocket attack on an undefended city, during which time 120 Russian peacekeepers were killed, followed by a human wave of refugees into Russia? Does The Barracuda even know what the fuck a provocation is?

I suppose we have to suspend disbelief. I remember when Joe Liebermann was running alongside Algore in 2000. Man oh man, the policy reversals and philosophical u-turns ole Joe had to pull off in order to carry Algore's water!! It was truly depressing to witness Joe sell himself like a prostitute in order to be VP.

So, I guess becoming a mindless slave of Insane McCain's war-profiteer camarilla is just part of the job decription.

Indeed!

as for the 'historical differences' between Sunni and Shiite, could you look at the two and tell them apart or would you ask them to show you their 'historical differences,' first?

Is your point simply that they LOOK alike? Really? That's all? That applies to so many different people as to be meaningless.

There are real historical and political differences between the two even if they look alike to you. And using those differences to our national security interests is essential.

But she can see Russia from Alaska so she's certainly qualified on the foreign policy front. :heh:

oddly enough, all these mouth-breathing, booger-eating, leftist lemmings would be screaming from the rooftops if it were a woman on the left that this crap was being piled on. That it's a right-wing woman suddenly makes sexism 'ok.'
I can't speak for the people you mention above, but in my case I would certainly be upset if the Democrats nominated a woman that was dumber than a box of rocks. Even if I thought it would help us win, I would be upset. If Obama or Biden were hiding from doing live interviews, I would be trashing them as well. If your side had nominated Mitt Romney, I could at least respect that. The guy is experienced and is certainly Presidential material. Palin is a joke. I might disagree with Romney on many things, but I know he is qualified to take over if something were to happen to McCain's health. He was the one I was terrified against running against because I have felt all along this election is going to come down to the economy. That's the #1 issue in every poll and nothing else is even close. Romney could have made a convincing argument on the economy and could have won.

Romney would've been ineffective at garnering votes for the Ancient One. Don't you realise this damned election cycle is all about personality, and nothing to do with issues?

Ya know, last week, I watched some videos on the National Press Club's alternative Presidential Candidates hosted by Ron Paul, starring Chuck Baldwin of the Constitutional Party, Nader as an independent, and McKinney of the Green Party (Bob Barr of the Libertarians was invisible).

What I heard was a tantalizing breath of fresh air, a momentary high, if you will. Three candidates for President who actually spoke about concrete issues of the day and their proposed actions/solutions. It was enlightening, illuminating, and exuberant. Even a marxist-socialist like McKinney earned my respect.

Then the speeches were finished, the Youtube window closed, and reality came crashing down.

The Ancient One and That Long-Legged Mack-Daddy resumed their pointless charades as the REAL contenders for the Presidency in free, bona fide, nonstop CNN/Fox News coverage.

Much like after downing six bratwursts and four beers at Johannisfest, I felt like running into an alley and throwing up behind some garbage cans. Reality bit a chunk out of my neck...

Shit.

WASHINGTON - The Obama and McCain campaigns have agreed to an unusual free-flowing format for the three televised presidential debates, which begin Friday, but the McCain camp fought for and won a much more structured approach for the questioning at the vice-presidential debate, advisers to both campaigns said Saturday.

At the insistence of the McCain campaign, the Oct. 2 debate between the Republican nominee for vice president, Gov. Sarah Palin, and her Democratic rival, Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., will have shorter question-and-answer segments than those for the presidential nominees, the advisers said. There will also be much less opportunity for free-wheeling, direct exchanges between the running mates.

McCain advisers said they had been concerned that a loose format could leave Ms. Palin, a relatively inexperienced debater, at a disadvantage and largely on the defensive.

McCain advisers said they were only somewhat concerned about Ms. Palin’s debating skills compared with those of Mr. Biden, who has served six terms in the Senate, or about his chances of tripping her up. Instead, they say, they wanted Ms. Palin to have opportunities to present Mr. McCain’s positions, rather than spending time talking about her experience or playing defense.
She's such a PITBULL!!

:headbang:

She is truly awful. Hell, she probably only found who Putin was last week.

I'd say the sweet pungent scent of her sexuality is clearing from the average balding paunchy white male and her lustre is fading fast.

I couldn't watch that interview. Simply because I can't stand ANYTHING any of these candidates are saying. Goddamned broken records, self-edifiers, and what-hast-thou. To hell with the four of em.

I don't know if he's racist, but he does say dumb shit on account of talking too much (like, recently, saying FDR talked on television after the Stock Market crash of 1929), but, wow, that's nothing compared to this:

If you go to nbc.com, you can see the SNL skits that they've been doing on Palin, they're funny as hell.

Never before have I seen so many that were so scared by a little ol' VP candidate. Calling her dumb, unqualified and anything else they can to try and offset her mass appeal. Take her tanning, give her a perm and have her say the word change over and over again. What's the difference?

She can't remember the finer points of a 450 page bailout proposal? Holy crap, what a dolt!
What's Biden's excuse for forgetting one of his fellow Democrats is in a friggin' wheelchair? Perhaps the age issue applies to Biden more than John McOld? Maybe Joe just forgot to take his Rivastigmine?
