i was hoping the deadboy stuff would be more like the acid bath acoustic songs like 'scream of the butterfly' and 'bones of baby dolls' etc. but its way more minimal an ehh, havent gotten into it much.

Obsessed over those two songs for quite a while!

Since we're on the Italian side, I got reminded of Canaan, an atmospheric doom/dark ambient band. Check out their Brand New Babylon album, it's really good stuff!

Met Jon at Dissection in Tijuana in 2005, got a couple autographs and handshakes...I actually met him by accident. When I got into the place I saw people with the new Dissection shirts and wanted to ask someone with one on how much they cost cause' I was afraid of getting ripped off by the guy selling them. So I started walking towards the back and some guy that had his head down while putting something in his pockets had one on and when I tapped his shoulder he looked up at me and it was Jon. I was like unprepared and shit so I reached out my hand to shake his and we said a couple words. I approached him 10 minutes later and had him sign shit.

Really boring live band I thought, but the singer was a very likable and funny guy.

Listening to my favorite albums tonight. This band has the most humble and down to earth guy in music. He even let me hear some of the new material for being a loyal fan.

What happened to the song after 2:40 something...it's over? Sounded like it. It's cool...it's cooler than alot of folk metal. Most folk metal melody-wise sounds so much alike, but that song's alright...reminds me of Tyr and Suidakra. I'll download the album.

Now for something not technically in the same ballpark or league but possibly the same sport... Listen to at least some of it whoever the next person is... I know it's long ; )

that's their last album I enjoyed. One of my favorite bands growing up though, so them a bunch of times back in the day, even with nevermore opening up during the dead heart years a couple times.
