I just had to defend myself from my family's 145+ pound Newfoundland. I heard him chewing on something, so I went over to see what it was. He growled and lunged at me, so my fists went flying.

I am dandy. Today was the first day of the cyberdefense competition at Microsoft and our team (school) was in 1st place for the day. We'll see how tomorrow goes for it will be more intense. If we get first place overall, we will compete at the Nationals in San Antonio.

That sounds like fun!

wow yesterday was fucking awesome:

1e: got to see my new home!

2e: Got my first motorcycle lesson...brutal

3e: played a gig and it was really crowded and everybody was really great, awesome times!
after that we went to a local metalcafe with lots of Hertog Jan Beer ...

this was a day to remember!

9 to 5 is actually 8 to 5 for most. how early are you wanting? at my last job we were allowed to come in either at 7 and leave at 4, or 7:30 and leave at 4:30. i still miss it

I work 9-5 and I get paid lunch in the middle... yeah I hate it.
both my previous jobs were "come in when ever, and leave after 8 hours.."
so often I would show up at 10... that was ace.

You think that's bad... 10-8pm is the worst shift. Can't really get anything done in the morning, and never really get a good dinner. Plus, you endure both lunch and dinner rushes.

10-8 is a ten hour shift... that sucks indeed- but then again- tips aren't that bad eh?
