A friend of mine now works at Home Depot like you, Laura. She claims to be hit on and harassed by customers, co-workers, and management alike.

it's not as bad anymore... or i guess i'm just better at dealing with it. there are other girls i work with who get a lot more attention like that, but there hasn't been anything too extreme.

customers - there are the creepy ones but, like i said i guess i'm just better at holding my ground and dealing with that shit, and a lot of them are just nice old guys or they'll use terms like sweetheart and babe out of respect or something. there have been some extreme cases with some of the other girls, but my supervisors are really protective of us all and have been really good about just going right to the people and kicking them out of the store, etc

coworkers - i've gotten comfortable enough around the people that i work with that i take all that in stride, too. but the vast majority of the older guys i work with are really just nice guys with crude senses of hurmor. we had one guy here a while ago who was just downright gross and he actually did touch one chick inappropriately as well as just being generally sex-offender-y so he was axed.
