It's incredible. It's supposed to be ALOT bigger then last year. They're doubled the guests and vendors. It seems they're really going all out this year. It's a great atmosphere.

dude SRSLY that logo looks like a pile of dog doo on top of a diamond encrusted plate! you got gorgeous PRO artwork and that logo was drawn by your friend or something. totally fine for demos but cmon man, is that what you want to be eternally looking at? its so amature and so glaringly out of place. borrow a few bucks from your mom or something if thats what it takes, but you need a new logo before that goes to press!!!Nice artwork, should have paid him extra to fix your band logo....ouch, nothing like a backhanded compliment huh?

it actually was done by our old singers friend haha. i'd love a new logo but i don't really know an artist to hit up, one of the bands we're friends with, Laceration had their logo done by an artist that did the warbringer and consequently they look almost exactly the same in my opinion so i'm a bit skeptical.

yeah they do look good, i just wouldn't want to pay money to some artist i have no idea about and get something that lookst he same as another band since logo is something that stays forever. the laceration logo is usually red too haha.

yeh, i purposely used the white one to show the letter shapes are somewhat similar, but definitely arent the same, and they mostly look alike because they're both red
anyway, im not trying to convince you to use this guy specifically, but really a lot of band logos look similar because there are only so many serifs and tails you can put on the same ole alphabet!

I'm not going to post another thread because I've posted enough threads whoring my band but finally our new ep is done. We got it mastered and it sounds fucking heavy and the artwork is all done too, it looks amazing I think
Logo talk aside, that art work is very dreamy.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I'm glad my internet connection is better for the moment. Apparently the phone lines in the house are real screwed up. I think it may have something to do when a pipe burst from the tub a few weeks ago. We have it hooked to the outside line because the main jack is just outside our window, but whew, that's gonna cost a bit to get that one fixed I think. The phone man told me, if that jack works, then its inside.

I'm so fucking sick of not doing anything. I thought I would be generally recovered from the appendectomy by now, but I went back to the emergency room yesterday because I woke up with absolutely unbearable stomach pains, worse than I had from the appendicitis in the first place. I ended up spending almost nine hours at the hospital just to find out that I had "complications" from the surgery. And I'm missing the last two weeks of classes before finals.

Ummm, not to be a dick but isn't there an ART thread here? I"m just saying there are probably about a dozen artists/designers on this forum alone and Travis Smith has a forum with many artists on it and then there is deviantart and lulu.com
