say something about ... yourself!

Promise I will when my torrents finish.

Well guys, I'm moving to my own place with two roomates next month. 22 is a late age to move away from your mother. I'm still gonna help her pay for her current apartment but I'm trying to convince her to let me pay her deposit for a one bedroom she can afford. Getting old sucks.

Anyway, I may be without internet in October/November until I figure out what service provider I want to go with. (Any suggestions?)

Depends on what is available in your area. Definitely get cable over DSL. Between the providers in my area (Time Warner, FiOS and AT&T) it's all a wash, although, I'd probably choose FiOS. Time Warner's customer service blows. They can go fuck themselves. Their cable tv boxes suck balls too.

I'm really excited but also really worried about my mom. She's going to be completly alone now. She's got a lot of mental shit going on like I do, I hope she'll be alright.

22 is not late to move out, dude. 32 yes, but not 22.

It also depends on your economic situation and location. If you live in a high cost of living area and the economy is bad, then sometimes you may have to stay at home even longer. What's more, don't be surprised if you have to move back if things fall through. Shit can happen at any time, from irresponsible roommates to family problems to bad luck at work, etc.

I like tits.

Twenty-two is not "old". Your body doesn't even stop fully developing until you're twenty-five anyway. I moved out right when I hit eighteen, but due to things falling apart with my best friend/roomate, I ended up moving back in with my mother in a different place for about a year, and I finally moved out for good when I was twenty.

Hell, I know someone that is almost twenty-six who doesn't seem like he's going to be moving out of his parents house any time soon. It's not really a financial issue either. I think that's kind of strange, but I don't see your situation being as rare.

Hmm, well I do know some people a lot older than me living with their parents, but I guess I'm kind of judging by the people I work with here. Even a lot of the teenagers live on their own.

I understand Houston is supposedly doing better than almost every other city in this economy. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. What's the cost of living for you guys. Say, a one bedroom apartment in an average community.

Houston is a swamp. I wouldn't want to live there.

Then again, this heat wave in SoCal has me convinced I don't want to spend another WEEK here, much less long-term. Seattle has been my target but I'm not holding my breath.
