Laphroaig really needs a good nosing glass to bring out the complexity in the flavor.

Honestly, I was drunk by the time I noticed they had any and asked for some. The glass seemed fine, but, naturally, my sense of taste and smell were lessened by that point.

From what I could tell, it was a peaty, strong one. Maybe peatier than I'm familiar with.

Well, Islay whiskys are known for the peat and sea salt taste. Certainly not to everyone's liking, and in fact I didn't enjoy it at first.
