It's THE satire of our generation. I'm at a loss to imagine anything better. I've wrote papers on it in relation to Aristophanes and Juvenal.
 
One of my eyes has been watering excessively all day. I keep blotting it with napkins or my spongy fingers to dry it off but it never stops and now it's getting sore from all the rubbing.
 
well, south park has changed a bit in that it seems the last few years every episode has at least 1-2 major social commentaries, instead of just unruly silliness. its gotten more 'mature' and 'serious' if these words could be used to describe poop and jew jokes. the social commentaries and 'messages' were always there, they just seem more prevalent and intense now. they did address this a bit on the family guy episode where kyle says something like, "at least family guy isnt all preachy and up its own ass with social messages" so they do still poke fun at themselves as well. most episodes are still excellent enough to call it a great show.
