lifes a fucking mangle and has been for a while but at least I've managed to get some positive shit done like the new Scald cd out pretty soon

if you were surprised at vermiculatus after headworm this will probably confuxticate you further
its a very 2 sided cd, if it were vinyl it would seem like 2 sides of diferent records I guess, act I is very up tempo catchy (yes catchy) crusty punk thrash and act II is an ambient noise version with the lyrics faithfully translated and narrated in italian
but the motivation of both approaches is the same


i hope some of you take a few minutes to digest our vitriol
i recomend listening to the track before watching the vid for it
the sound quality on the mp3 is much better

i need to get a better compression of the video up there

howdy JK , I've just been teetering on the brink trying not to fall into the void
though it has been tempting to just allow my mind to collapse
mellowdrama aside I've just been up to my eyes in family illness, work and general life grind trying to find time to do some art of my own and being depressed that I can't and when i do i have no energy left to do it
i have a sleep disorder that means i'm constantly tired so everything just seems like a huge effort

otherwise I've been working very intensively over the past year on alternative scald projects, still trying to get a proper release for headworm, which will now be a double cd when it happens, I've created an abstract version of the album for a second disc which is....well pretty weird
scald has been working away on material we've been sitting on for a couple of years which is pretty huge and progressive, should keep us busy over the next couple of years....can't ever see us doing the same thing twice

also we're playing with napalm death in august which rules, since last time we had to drop out when I cut my eyeball open with a stick

don't know about scum, probably more ENT, and on other tracks maybe discharge + misfits, its really like a throwback to born with teeth and TVP

the images took a while to collate but I've been picking them up along the way

not really, it should have been recorded last year
but it was march before we could get studio time to co-inside with some rehersal time
the last one had been delayed too so thats probably why it seems like a short time

we've been working on the next one for months already
more prog, we're 16 minutes into the first track
its three tracks, but theyre all as long as an album, we'll record one at a time, maybe we'll release them as 3 albums over time or hold them back for a huge double cd
whatever, there'll be re-releases of old stuff with new bits and other experimental stuff inbetween, so I'm not short of shit to do

sorry about the silence
lot of bad shit happened lately, finding it dificult to get motivated

but apologies forthe fluke delay, you wouldn't believe the shit we've gone through
everything has been in place for months, covers...etc
but the company we used for the disk fucked up the print TWICE
and rather than take a discount for shoddy product we and the label decided to tell them to fuck off

it had to be moved at considerable expense to another factory
who are being slow as fuck with each print sample

basically its screwed our whole promotion plan
and the expense has eaten a huge chunk of our promo budget
but fair play to midhir who've gone along with our wishes for top quality without compromise

still, we really appreciate the support and patience of all those who've pre-ordered
it really fucks me off to have to disapoint them, I hope its worth the wait and just know that our frustration is 10x

nothing has ever gone smoothly for scald, I guess I should just expect this shit
the day before we were due to play with napalm death (last month)
I had a death in the family that forced us to cancel out of the only gig we had planned for this year..........

however next year is the 15th anniversary of scald and we're planning some really cool re-releases of all the early material
all remastered with new art, special packaging and bonus guff
2 of these releases will be by ourselves, and hopefully headworm will be through a label
