Hey there. Well, since I'm not posting much around here, it doesn't mean, that I'm sleeping ...

Here's a new one, freshly made (today)... I've played some lame riffs and messin' around with my DFH settings... Quite cool, gotta say.... How's bass sounding to you, guys.

Enjoy...

Sounds pretty good think there is a bit to much highs on the cymbals though or something its kinda overwhelming on parts on the high end. Other than that it sounds great and i like the drums!

I got a question for yea. How did you do the cymbal fades or swells whatever you want to cal them with dfh? There is one in the very beginning.

It's a crescendo... If you have the EZ DFH drummap, scroll down within it and then you'll see "Special Crescendo" and "CRide1 Crescendo"... Hope that helps. Otherwise it's quite compicated to do that stuff. I've try it once not so long ago.... About 20 minutes of jerking and it still wasn't good enough... :D

Thanx for listening.

Do you mind me asking how you got the snare sound- was that DFH as well?
Liked the song btw, the production had a kind of Symphonic, Nightwish/ Within Temptation feel to it

Hey. Well, yes and no :) Snare was replaced with Steven Slate drum samples, 68 % blended, in / out gain at 0.0 dB, pitch +16, then processed with PSP MixSaturator and UAD's LA2A.

About production.... True. It took me about 3 hours to do that song. I was so pissed, because of my girlfriend's band (she sings there and they play a gothic metal). We've set up a date for recording their stuff, but their moth******** guitarist (who claims to be the "leader of the band") quickly changed his mind and choose his friend (because I'm too expensive) - my price is 5 EUR per hour and I can still give some discount at the end of the session, depends on band's attitude, budget, hours spented etc. I'm doing that because I love producing, recording and mixing metal music. It's my passion, so to speak. And I've made that song quickly, because I'll need it to proove quality, when I'll rave over their recordings :heh::heh::heh: I can be real son-of-a-b**** sometimes, heheheee.....

@Mavaan: I use my UAD's Plate 140 with Nice Drum Room (or something like that). Otherwise I combine different verbs like Plate 140, DreamVerb and AudioEase AltiVerb.

Nice one....
what i didn't like was the keys.... i think a bit of eqing towards the treble side to give them a shiny-sparkle sound would work better...to my ears at least...
Guitars were great! riffing was also awesome...
