Sennheiser 421 shootout! Vintage original vs Modern Reissue

I really like Seinnheiser, both condenser and dynamic mics.
I had an experience on a guitar recording, and i had to choose between a Seinnheiser and SM57
The Seinnheiser basiccaly, captured "exactly" what i was hearing inside the room.
The SM57 colorised the sound a lot,but in the end i choose the SM57.
Anyway,i was really impressed with the Seinnheiser, and i will definitely buy one someday.
The Seinnheiser condenser mics are also very good

sounds nice! what position was each mic in? and what cab/speaker?

6505+/Mesa4x12OS/V30 that come with it.
Both on the same top right speaker (slant).
57 where dustcap meets cone, sm7 right next to it more towards the center.
57 straight, 421 angled a bit.

I experienced that too once with the 421 on a Marshall 1960B cab.
The 421 sounded, as you said, the most like the tone in the room.
Not that obvious with my Mesa Cab as it was with the Marshall though.
