Atlantis played their first show in 2007 and released Carpe Omnium with Field Records in that same year. In 2009 they released a double LP containing Carpe Omnium and San Diablo EP on vinyl. The story continues in 2011 with Mistress Of Ghosts. This time released with dunk!records. Mistress Of Ghosts is available on 180g vinyl in a very nice layout. The LP is good for almost 40 minutes of noise, rock, electronica and psychedelic doom metal riffs, all mixed into 8 intense songs.Standard mat varnish cardboard sleeve with white inner sleeve. 180 gram.

BLACK BURN - THE INVOCATION (COL)
4 page insert, 425gsm heavy cardboard cover, red vinyl. Jorge Franke is a man of ideas. While playing with Tantalos, Skylla, Ballantinez and later Calderone (or assiah for that matter), he also developed numerous side projects. One of them was Black Burn (another one was called Crypt who eventually turned into Calderone). And, given the right timing and the right support, Black Burn could have been huge! One listen to "Necrophile" (1984), "Skylla", "Dr. Vollin", "Priest of Dread", "The World is an immeasurable War" (all from 1985) and the tribute "Black Burn" (recorded posthumously in 1999) and you get an instant feeling of Black Burn's uniqueness.

BUNKER 66/BARBARIAN - SPLIT LP

Lets face it, BUNKER66 and BARBARIAN have more in common than most: both bands are Italians, both are power-trios whose music is rooted in the 80s heavy/thrash scene, both have been officially endorsed by Fenriz from DARKTHRONE in his band of the week blog andboth bands have had releases on DOOMENTIA before. Oh yeah and born under the sign of the black mark, they both have the kind of fuck off attitude that would make any emo fans weep! So this partnering wasnt simply due to happen, it HAD to become reality. So there you go, 25 minutes of glorious black/thrash/punk and whatever for all those warriors to headbang to until you bleed. A glorious throwback to CELTIC FROST and VENOM (BARBARIAN) but also DISCHARGE, BULLDOZER and SODOM (BUNKER66) performed and produced the way it always should be! And to make the whole thing even more special, as an extra, both acts are paying tribute to their elders. While BUNKER66 have resurrected from the grave "Psychopharmax Convulsions" originally committed to tape by the obscure Italian hardcore band CONVULSED waaaaay back in 1988 and blasted here in less than 53 seconds, BARBARIAN have chosen "Murder Angels" by the legendary DEATH SS, originally released in 1981 on "Horned god of the witches demo".

CANDLEMASS - PSALMS FOR THE DEAD (MARBLED) (2LP)
Very limited special MARBLED GOLD/BLACK vinyl version. "Psalms for the Dead" is the Swedish doom metal legend's swansong. Contrary to the rampant rumors, the band will not be splitting up, but rather concentrating on live performances. CANDLEMASS' final studio album shows a band at the top of their game and it will soon earn the cult status it well deserves. The release is filled with such highlights as "Dancing in the Temple of the Mad Queen Bee" or the sweeping opening track "Prophet", which beautifully showcases the band's strengths. Singer Robert Lowe (SOLITUDE AETURNUS) embellishes the songs with his characteristic vocals and sounds as though he has been a part of CANDLEMASS from the band's early beginnings. KASAN - DROWN
Kasan is an instrumental postrock/postmetal band from Leipzig, Germany. After releasing a self-titled demo in 2007, the Soma EP in 2009, a 12" split LP with Kokomo in 2010 and a 10" split LP with Galvano in 2011 they have now released their first full length album named Drown together with dunk!records. Standard mat varnish cardboard sleeve with white inner sleeve.

KOKOMO (GERMANY) - IF WOLVES
'If Wolves' is the second album by Kokomo. Kokomo is a German instrumental rock band based in Duisburg, Germany. After doing 'Matterhorn Bob and the Black Fair' all by themselves, they still follow the diy philosophy with their latest album 'If Wolves' by recording everything themselves. Of course it is not easy and pretty expensive to get music out there in a good quality and package. Therefore they decided to join dunk!records as the very first band of the new label. They proved their amazing song writing qualities and energetic live performance at dunk!festival2010 and confirmed that again at dunk!festival2011. MANILLA ROAD - MYSTIFICATION (BLACK) (2LP)
500 x black vinyl, 425gsm heavy gatefold cover, poster With "Crystal Logic", "Open the Gates" and "The Deluge" Manilla Road had released three mighty fine albums in a row. In 1987 "Mystification" followed. It might appear that this album was heavily influenced by Thrash Metal, somehow a true product of its time. "We were always on a conquest to get heavier and faster but I was listening to really heavy and even some Thrash music at the time", confesses Mark Shelton. "So it was a bit of both, I suppose. I would agree that there is a bunch of Thrash influence going on in 'Mystification' but I would have to say that 'Out of the Abyss' was our furthest incursion into the Thrash genre. We still touched on Thrash over the years and next albums with songs like 'Vlad The Impaler' and even on into our reformation era that we are still in now with songs like 'Siege of Atland' on 'Atlantis Rising'.

MARQUIS DE SADE - (BLACK) SOMEWHERE UP IN THE MOUNTAIN

It's no exaggeration to say that Marquis de Sade, formed in late 1979/early 1980, is one of the most legendary bands of the entire New Wave Of British Heavy Metal period. Their sole 7" single "Somewhere up in the Mountains"/"Black Angel" (issued in 1981 on X-Pose Records) has over the years turned into the holy grail for serious N.W.O.B.H.M. collectors.

But none of that bullshit with MINKIONS. After all, those self-proclaimed kings of raw hardcore splatthrash punk have never been beating around the bush regarding the bands theyve been influenced from day one back in 2006 when they got together after what must have been one of the biggest binge party even known to mankind! When youve put to tape a raging WEHRMACHT cover ("Drink Beer Be Free"), have shared splits with CHILDREN OF TECHNOLOGY or BARBATOS and have a logo which is an obvious tribute to the one used by the mighty ACCD for the last twenty-five years or so, lets say the writing is on the wall. So there you go, you do now know the score: raging thrash/speedcore the 80s way, full of two minutes blast, stupid lyrics about getting fucked up and the kind of insane mosh parts that even your senile grandma wont be able to resist. Something a bit on the same wave-length as label mates LAHAR and as rooted in the old-school way of doing things but with a punk, much less serious but with lets get fucked-up type of attitude! So yeah, recorded last winter, clocking at just under half an hour (perfect timing for this kind of spontaneous and bursting style) and also released on CD by FOAD Records, Distorted Pictures From A Distorted Reality doesnt fuck around and goes straight into the pit. So what are you waiting for to join the party damn it???

SVOLK - (GREY) NIGHTS UNDER THE ROUND TABLE
Limited grey vinyl version. The Perfect Mix of Stoner, Danzig & Iron Maiden. Svolk finally releases their highly anticipated new album "Nights under the Round Table". The first sounds of the new longplayer will take the listener by surprise. It shows that the band was able to improve tremendously since the release of the highly acclaimed and fantastic debut album. The Norwegians riff enthusiastically over the entire album without showing any signs of slowing down. It's quite the opposite, the listener feels the love and the excitement of the musicians in each and every second. Svolk's Stoner Metal can be described as an explosive and dirty mix of Stoner Rock, Metal, Danzig and Iron Maiden. TANTARA - BASED ON EVIL (COL)
350 x halloween orange vinyl, 425gsm heavy cardboard cover, cardboard lyric insert. "Based On Evil" is the debut album of the Scandinavian Thrash Metal band Tantara, with headquarters in Norway. The album has songs from the EP "Human Mutation", which the band released independently in 2010. The plans for the album started right after the band had released their EP, where the band contacted several names who had worked and knew the genre well. One of these names was the legendary sound engineer and producer Flemming Rasmussen, and he was one of the first to answer back to the band. The band chose Flemming because of his background with big names like Rainbow, Metallica, Blind Guardian, Morbid Angel, etc., including that he had a good offer and knew how the production of the music should sound. The album was recorded during four weeks in July 2011, in ARK Recording Studios and Sweet Silence Mix Suite, both in Copenhagen, Denmark. "Based On Evil" has fast riffs, aggressive vocal and drum performances, melodic and virtuosic solos, and the band do also have some progressive elements in the songs as well. Although the songs are longer than what people are used to in the genre, the band still makes the listener interested during the whole album. Apart from the music, a lot of the originality is in the lyrics. "Based On Evil" is a concept album where the lyrics are critical of society. The lyrics can be linked to events that are happening now, and have happened in the past. Still, the lyrics are open, so its up to the listeners to interpret how they want. With "Based On Evil", Tantara shows the world that there are still lots of undone things in the genre, and like Flemming said himself in an interview: "Its gonna be great. Its an old school Thrash album, with everything played as it should be. No sampling and editing but almost live."

WITCHUNTER - (BLACK) CRYSTAL DEMONS
350 x black vinyl, 4 page lyric insert It's fair to say that Italy, together with Sweden (including such brilliant acts like High Roller recording artists In Solitude and Portrait), is the most fertile breeding ground for current Heavy Metal bands. Witchunter are another new and very talented act from the land of Bulldozer and Baphomet's Blood.

Gatefold cover, ltd 150 copies black vinyl. Flotsam & Jetsam's eighth studio album "My God" was originally released on Metal Blade Records in 2001. Up until now it was never released on vinyl. The album features songs like "Killing Time", "Nothing to say" and "Keep breathing" and must rate as an overlooked gem in the work of the band (although not quite on par with the classic first three albums). Shortly after the release of the album, singer Eric A.K. temporarily left Flotsam & Jetsam to be replaced by James Rivera.

TOWNSEND, DEVIN - TERRIA (2LP)
On 180 gram vinyl and coming in a gatefold sleeve. Terria has been described as "melodic and atmospheric", with elements of pop and ambience alongside Townsend's trademark heaviness. Terria features musical themes explored in Townsend's previous albums, such as Ocean Machine: Biomech. However, it is more restrained, "using silence as part of the music". Townsend cited Ween's White Pepper as an inspiration for the album.

WITCHCRAFT - LEGEND (2LP)
When Magnus Pelander founded WITCHCRAFT back in the year 2000, he just did so to record PENTAGRAM tribute album. It took until 2002 when the band finally released a first single. With their follow-up albums "Witchcraft" (2004), "Firewood" (2005) and "The Alchemist" (2007) they manifested their distinctive signature sound that is now known as Swedens finest psychedelic/classic rock band. Enter 2012, the band has found a new home with Nuclear Blast records and will put out their first album in five years. Originally being both a guitarist and singer, Pelander chose to focus on his unique vocals only from now on. With an all new line-up and the fine, authentic production by renowned producer Jens Bogren (KREATOR, PARADISE LOST, OPETH, AMON AMARTH), "Legend" isn't only a title for a new record, it is a strong statement and a payback for all WITCHCRAFT fans that have been waiting for a new sign of life from the band, who is more than eager to give the world what it needs. Bongripper is currently one of the strongest underground bands out there in all things sludge/doom. They left a landmark in the genre with last year's 'Satan Worshipping Doom'. It's good to see these guys are pushing things forward with a new DIY label (The Great Barrier Records). 'Sex Tape'/'Snuff Film' is a short but powerful statement. A conceptual experiment with uptempo groove and Bongripper approved breakdowns. This thing is rifftastic, filthy, doom.

BUNKER 66 - (COL) INFERNO INTERCEPTORS

Two of the most successful American thrashcore demos of the '80s for the first time on vinyl, remastered from the best quality sources existing for a never heard before audio quality. If you're looking for mind blowing FAST thrash a la Wehrmacht/Soothsayer with a touch of hardcore reminescent of Attitude Adjustment and Accüsed, this is absolutely a top notch pick. This record includes the "Sentenced to death" demo 1986, "Killing the future" demo 1987 and songs from their first show ever recorded in 1986, 14 songs in total leaving you completely breathless. Tracks like "War For Freedom" and "When Will You Die" were both featured on the British Metal Forces magazine compilation LP Demolition: Scream Your Brains Out in 1988 Metal Forces. The LP featured tracks from Leviathan (Chris Barnes (Cannibal Corpse/Six Feet Under) on vocals), Hobbs' Angel Of Death, Anacrusis & Atrophy. Chapter# 2 of the AFTERMATH's demo re-issues on FOAD Records. This LP includes their "Words that echo fear" Demo 1989, Roadrace Demo 1990 and a handful of live tracks from 1988. The record shows the band's natural development from blistering restless thrashcore to a solid, controlled assault of pure THRASH with a progressive vibe, think of late '80s Voivod, Coroner crossovered with AFTERMATH's peculiar way to thrash portrayed so greatly on the previous "Killing the future" demo. Both demos landed them in all of the top metal magazines around the world, including: Kerrang, Metal Hammer, RIP, RAW and Metal Forces. "Words that Echo Fear" demo was picked by music journalist Don Kaye as on of the Ten Best Demos of the Year. In 1990, based on the huge international success of the Words that Echo Fear demo, the metal label RoadRacer Records (a subsidiary of Roadrunner Records) approached the band for a demo deal, which resulted in the four track demo featuring the songs Eyes of Tomorrow, Afraid Of Time, The Act Of Unspoken Wisdom and 'Reflecting Pictures", appearing on this LP entirely remastered to the best sounding quality you can think of. Just like many other bands of the '80s US metal scene, AFTERMATH's unique way to thrash is a treasure that hasn't still been discovered by many and deserves the proper attention on a quality vinyl reissue like this. VIKING - DO OR DIE (BLACK)
100 x black vinyl, 425gsm hevay cardboard cover, cardboard lyric insert. Taking advantage of their Danish heritage and grabbing the Viking moniker, the story of the Eriksen brothers Ron (vocals, guitar) and Brett (guitar) is a unique one. Jamming in high school together with James Lareau on bass and Matt Jordan on drums they had generated a nucleus for the first incarnation of Viking. Viking's first mark on the Metal scene was a self-made demo entitled "Do or die", which included the three songs "Do or die", "Hellbound" and "Prelude/Scavenger". It captured the attention of Metal Blade Records in the US who released "Hellbound" on their "Metal Massacre VII" compilation. An album deal for the US (Metal Blade) and Europe (Roadrunner) followed in 1988. The sleepy suburbs of Orange County were once renowned for many US Hardcore bands. It's the birthplace of legendary acts such as True Sound Of Liberty (TSOL), The Adolescents, Agent Orange and Social Distortion. A few years later Metallica and Slayer started their world-wide conquests in garages of the same area. Viking's vicious Thrash Metal attacks such as "Warlord", "Militia of Death" or "Killer unleashed" owe a lot to early Bay Area bands like Slayer, Metallica or Exodus. With their debut album "Do or die" Viking immediately made a mark on the Southern Californian club scene of the late 1980's.

It is hard to describe Album's style but it has a bit of pre-'Ride The Lightning' Metallica, early Mercyful Fate in the guitar department and 1970's influences (first and foremost Black Sabbath) and some hints of Danzig (concerning the vocals).

Following last years masterpiece Beyond Ancient Space, Bong prove to be ever-prolific with their latest offering, a brand new album entitled, Mana-Yood-Sushai. Recorded, mixed and mastered in just two days in December 2011, this marks the first time Bong have entered a professional studio and recorded with an engineer. At the helm was Greg Chandler of Esoteric who had this to say about the experience: "It was really great to record an album live in the studio with BONG, whose heavy, droning, psychedelic improvisations unfolded like a lucid, transcendental journey. Great vibe to the session with these guys, and a real pleasure to work with. I really enjoyed the session, was cool to work with a band that can just get in and do their thing with a completely no nonsense approach!" That the music on this record is described by Greg as unfolding "like a lucid transcendental journey" is easy to imagine when you hear it. Dreams of Mana-Yood-Sushai" seems to pick up where Beyond Ancient Space ended, with ritualistic vocal passages atop their meditative jams. Trees, Grass and Stones evolves at an unhurried pace, first emerging with simple chimes and drones before locking into a most seductive groove. This is Bong as we have never heard them before, and they sound all the better for it! Ltd. 500, 3 A5 promo photos + letter in a special envelope, gold vinyl. Speed Metal (as well as Black Metal and Thrash Metal) evolved out of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement. There is not a shadow of a doubt about that. So if the question comes to the first Speed Metal song in history, there could only be two contenders. Either its Ravens furious "Faster than the Speed of Light" from their second landmark album "Wiped out" (issued in 1982 on Neat Records) or its "Axe crazy" by Bristols most famous sons Jaguar (released as a 7" single also by Neat Records the same year). Jaguar released their first single "Back Street Woman" in 1981 via Heavy Metal Records. But before that they had already recorded a highly praised demo cassette. "Opening the Enclosure" now bans the first four demos (recorded between 1980 and 1983) on glorious vinyl.

SENTINEL BEAST - (COL) SENTINEL BEAST

Hailing from Sacramento, California, Sentinel Beast was originally conceived in late 1983 by Mike Spencer on bass, the unique Debbie Gunn on vocals and Scott Awes behind the drum kit. The two guitarists Barry Fischel and Mark Koyasako completed the line up. Sentinel Beast first released an independent demo in early 1985. The band's anthem "Sentinel Beast" was included on the "Metal Massacre VII" compilation album. "Depths of Hell" was their first and only album. It captures the very heart and soul of Sentinel Beast - from the title track's expression of fear and submission to the re-recorded version of "Sentinel Beast". The cover version of Iron Maiden's classic Paul Di'Anno era "Phantom of the Opera" was another highlight of the record.

CONAN - LIVE AT ROADBURN 2012
Stage 1 at Roadburn 2012 was already overcrowded when Conan entered (with their gear through the audience) and laid down an hour of Horseback battle doom. The band were in obviously ebullient form, stoked at playing this legendary festival and also being asked to join Sleep in Oslo, as selections from the new and monstrous Monnos were intermingled with the huge and bulldozing force of classics like Krull and Older Than Earth. Jons instantly likeable faraway vocals have never sounded more realised to these ears, and the audience were massively appreciative of Conan's true wallop as the Stonehenge of amps that framed the band belched out universe-sized slices of ultra low-end hostility. A special mention too for Paul O'Neil's expert drumming which represents the kind of versatility and intelligence that one would not usually expect with this most primal of genres, truly adding colour to the palette. By the end of the set I had cunningly worked my way into the centre of the room and believe me I was not regretful of the deoxygenated crush of Stage 01 - Conan had finally arrived on the international stage like the great wrecking ball that they have always been and I needed to be there to witness their special Roadburn moment. PERSIAN RISK - ONCE A KING (BLACK)
Persian Risk were one of the most promising acts of the glorious New Wave Of British Heavy Metal era. But somehow luck was not on their side. They originally formed in Cardiff (in the area of Rhydyfelin to be precise) in 1979. Their debut 7" single "Calling for you" is a precious collectors item today, followed by "Ridin' High" on Neat Records in 1983 and the "Too different" 12" EP a year later. However, the first longplayer "Rise up" was not released until 1986 (issued on Metal Master), by then the N.W.O.B.H.M. was truly over. A case of too little too late. The original incarnation of Persian Risk split up for good in 1986 (with only one single gig played in London in 1986 including Paul Di'Anno guesting on "Jane"). Quite surprisingly, vocalist Carl Sentance (one of the truly great singers of the N.W.O.B.H.M. period) reformed the group recently. The new album "Once a King" is one of the best comeback albums in recent Metal history.

Born at the dawn of the new millennium in Italy, I.C.O. (Incoming Cerebral Overdrive) are heavy to the core. The end of the first decade of the new millennium marks a new step in the evolution of the band. The title of the new chapter is: "Le Stelle: A Voyage Adrift". The concept, an imaginary, dark and lonely trip adrift discovered in a diary. Emotions of fear, anger and irrational excitement are expressed, waiting for a certain epilogue into desolation, a final annihilation in a cosmic fusion. Sonically, this new album is a journey that intersects and expands in a huge, deep and at times, claustrophobic monolith. Heavy cavernous guitars with back-breaking riffs, multifaceted, effect laden vocals and rhythmic notes plunge into a psychedelic mix of unpredictable sounds of distress and madness that we, the recipient, can only succumb to. The album ultimately analyses the irrational, insane feelings of the man who face a journey toward the unknown. A diary has been found, but we cant say anything more than whats written inside. Impossible to identify the places (real or not, who knows) that he explored, what shines through his words are his fears, sensations and frustrations fed by a sense of belonging to a chaotic, incontrollable, and compromised whole. The participation of Urlo and Poia of Ufomammut, both during the composition and the recording sessions opens the project to a new light. MANILLA ROAD - MYSTERIUM (BLACK)

Mark Shelton's group must be one of the most legendary American Metal bands in history. The band's debut album "Invasion" was issued in 1980 on their own Roadster label. If you count "Circus Maximus" as a proper Road album, then the new record entitled "Mysterium" is Manilla Road's 17th album in a long and fruitful career. And without the shadow of a doubt it is one of their best records since 1983's "Crystal Logic" (normally cited as the band's masterstroke).

URIAH HEEP - SEA OF LIGHT
On 1995's Sea Of Light, Uriah Heep went back to try and regain the magic of the early '70s. And here, the band do regain the spirit and quality of their classic albums. There's a bit of everything here for the old Heep fan from the opening metal chords of "Against The Odds" , to the progressive epic ballad "Love In silence", to the brilliant acoustic ballad that closes this disc "Dream On" -- Heep show that they are not 'dinosaurs' of the 70s, but rather a very underrated band that still has lots of new great music to offer to fans of classic rock and HR. Sea Of Light consisting of 12 strong tunes, was the 3rd studio album by the line-up lead by original guitarist Mick Box, keyboardist Phil Lanzon, longtime drummer Lee Kerslake, bassist Trevor Bolder, and the magnificent vocals of Canadian boy Bernie Shaw.

Maryland meets Sweden on this clash of two bands obsessed with classic doom metal, both presenting new tracks. Doomdogs from Gothenburg, known for their two smashing full length albums on Doomentia, offer the tune 'Oceans Of Despair' whereas War Injun present their last track with singer JD Williams (also of Internal Void), 'Smokethrower'. Both songs are previously unreleased and exclusive to this release.

It marked a return to the relative simplicity of a guitar/bass/human drummer lineup. Justin Broadrick even sings on a number of songs without the aid of distortion. This isn't to imply that they've lightened up or lost their brutal, pessimistic outlook. The angst and the cold, mechanical feel are still present and correct, but the band sound better than ever. WOLFHEAD - WOLFHEAD

You'd think that a band born in 2008 after some drunk rehearsals in between black/death outfit BETWEEN THE FROST guitarist Iosue and guitar-wizard-cum-producer and leader of old-school death-metal warlords GRAVEYARD would only mean buzzsaw guitars, grinding drums and putrid production wouldnt you? Except that WOLFHEAD wont let be pigeonholed that easily and Javi himself step furiously on any possible categorisation: "It lies somewhere rock nroll, heavy-metal, stoner, doom, grunge, black-metal, whatever! A song sounds like BATHORY but then moves on to TROUBLE territories, then towards MOTORHEAD highway before taking a left-turn somewhere in between old ENSLAVED and DARKTHRONE. IN a way, its the exact opposite of GRAVEYARD that stands for a very specific sound. For WOLFHEAD, whatever sounds cool to our ears will make it, let it be keyboards, harmonized vocals, strange instrument or even harmonica!" Confused? You betcha. And dont you forget some ALICE IN CHAINS, BLACK SABBATH or SOLITUDE AETERNUS thrown in the bin for good measure. Recorded in Barcelona in Javis own Moontower studios in between October 2008 and December 2009, such a mix bag could easily have been a recipe for disaster without the proper vocalist to pull it off. Enter Ivan, the already legendary frontman of the sadly defunct GREAT COVEN, whose legacy is now being carried by WARCHETYPE: he might be the only guy in this galaxy capable to have one foot in Birmingham circa 1970 and the other one in Valhalla along Thor the god of thunder, as exampled on the eight minutes plus epic, "Sons Of Asgard". Or pull off such a relaxed and yet fitting performance for the bands surprising entirely acoustic rendition of PINK FLOYDs ode to their fallen brother Syd Barrett, "Wish You Were Here". Adorned with a superb Andrei Bouzikov (MUNICIPAL WASTE, CANNABIS CORPSE etc.) cover art, WOLFHEAD self-titled debut simply ranks next to HORN OF THE RHINO and DOOMDOGS among DOOMENTIA's finest stoner/metal hybrid.

WIHT - THE HARROWING OF THE NORTH
A Leeds-based trio whose epic, instrumental style straddles a spectrum of all things riff laden, fuzzed out, epic and psychedelic. Wiht's first full album, 'The Harrowing Of The North', is a two song, 33-minute concept piece taking influence thematically, from the subjugation of the North of England by William the Conqueror in the 11th century. The band have played across the UK, supporting Brant Bjork & The Bros, Yob, Corrosion Of Conformity, Humanfly, Khuda, Dopefight, A Forest Of Stars and Conan.

BLIKSEM - FACE THE EVIL
Lightning is one of the most spectacular displays in nature. Bolt temperatures hotter than the sun. Shockwaves radiating out in all directions. In Dutch, this deadly natural phenomenon is called "bliksem." A fitting name for an electrifying five-piece thrash band from Antwerp, Belgium. The storm began brewing in 2007, when Jeroen De Vriese (guitar), Toon Huet (guitar), Rob Martin (drums and backing vocals) and Jan Rammeloo (bass) began crafting their high energy thrash 2.0. In late 2008, their quest to find a singer on par with Chuck Billy or Dave Mustaine takes an unexpected and brilliant turn with the arrival of Peggy Meeussen. Her commanding razor-edged vocals are reminiscent of the late Dawn Crosby (Dtente/Fear of God) and Nicole Lee (Znowhite) slicing through the existing legions of goth or guttural female-fronted bands. Line-up complete, Bliksem starts to send shockwaves across the Belgian underground. In the years to come, BLIKSEM were busy with intense touring through the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. As supporting act for the likes of ANGEL WITCH, CHANNEL ZERO, PRONG, MASTODON or MEGADEATH, BLIKSEM have proven their status as a dazzling live act. In 2012, Trix Music Centre in Antwerp chooses Bliksem as the first-ever metal band to be its new "Artist in Residence," an honor previously bestowed on highly successful Belgian bands such as Triggerfinger. By June 2012, the band enters the studio to record "Face the Evil" (Alone Records, 2013) the long-awaited debut album. Combining blistering tandem guitars, thrashing drums, pounding bass and furious vocals, the resulting eight songs not only explore themes including revenge, oppression and madness but also celebrate the timeless glory of metal.

CHAMBERS - LA MANO SINISTRA
Chambers are a band from Pisa, Italy featuring members of Violent Breakfast. Chambers play a great style of music with elements of epic post rock mixed with screamo and posthardcore. This might be a stretch, but Chambers may sound like a more mature sounding Violent Breakfast. Fans of Violent Breakfast, Aussiotot Mort, Raein, Sofy Major, and Pianos Become The Teeth take note! La Mano Sinistra is Chamber's follow-up to their self titled debut LP released in 2010. These seven songs have a bit of an experimental edge to them, which finds the band delving more into postrock territory.

If you're a faithful follower you should know by now that at DOOMENTIA headquarters they don't fuck around with thrash-metal. They like it raw, in-your-face and with enough gusto to kill any posers in sight! And so far, our Italian friends have yet to fail us, thanks to already blinding records recently by BARBARIAN or BUNKER 66. And guess what? You can now add HATRED to the list! Already spotted for their participation in the 2007 hailed sequel of the famous 'Speed Kills' compilation, the pedigree alone of this power-trio should tell you what the game is here as you'll find back here three quarter of BAPHOMETS BLOOD current line-up, including Necrovomiterror (on vocals and guitar), who's been desecrating souls with BLASPHEMOPHAGHER since 2002. And while the latter is now on hold until further notice, the future spells HATRED whose first proper full-length 'Burning Wrath' -their first sign of life since their 7-inch 'Winds Of Annihilation' on IRON BONEHEAD back in 2010- is now being unleashed through DOOMENTIA. With one foot in the old-school and the other in the modern approach of all things thrashy, this is no simple nostalgia exercise but a stomping and fistbanging 36 minutes trip with a thick-as-a-brick production and relentless drumming.

LOCK UP - HATE BREEDS SUFFERING (USA)
ANDERS LINDBERG (ex-AT THE GATES, later THE CROWN on vocals), NICK BARKER (DIMMU BORGIR, drums), SHANE EMBURY (NAPALM DEATH, guitars) and JESSE PINTADO (NAPALM DEATH, bass) came together for an incredible 2 weeks (which is a huge improvement from the 2 days that 'Pleasures Pave Sewers' required ) and created the second album 'Hate Breeds Suffering'. And hell yeah, there's quite an improvement on this new album compared to the debut. This time, Lindberg has taken over the vocal duties from Peter Taegtgren, and though Peter is a good vocalist, Lindberg is just plain awesome! The others can all be considered as giants in the genre as well. Be prepared for straight forward death grind, and a whopping total of 16 tracks, meaning an average of about 2 minutes per song.

ORNAMENTS - PNEUMOLOGIC (2LP)
Ornaments is the perfect representation of the common passion for music of a group of friends. Years of attending shows, listening to LPs, entire days closed up in a rehearsal room, many kilometers on the road with a bunch of CDs piled up on the dashboard. Finally these people felt something had to be given back, they had to put together the mysterious energy of all the musical influences and create something new and completely free from the typical rock stereotype. At the same time forming a band was the natural progression in keeping a close friendship going and expressing a unique mutual feeling. Since early winter in 2003 until this day, ORNAMENTS represents a chance to build a solid construction of ideas and free form experimentation that can satisfy all members of the band. ORNAMENTS wants to consider itself as an open project that can freely interact with different artistic figures such as multimedia and visual artists and soundtrack creators. The first self-titled EP (2004) is made up of 4 instrumental tracks. Long silent atmospheric moments are ruptured by huge brutal explosions of sound. Dark atmospheres create even more obscure visions. The song structures mix the sharp edges and tight mechanical feeling of a heavy brutal sound with a more harmonic post-rock dreaminess. Tension just keeps building up during the whole listening experience of these 4 tracks. A purifying moment just seems around the corner but it just never actually comes, the music keeps on growing in an infinite spiral. 5 years later Ornaments feels the need to come back together and interact deep within to communicate what had been sealed in each of them for too long, so as to bring to completion a full album. One of the best (and strangest) tracks is the lengthy instrumental epic 'Advance In A Minor,' a dense moody, almost classical sounding metallic prog workout, with loping minor key stretches of muted low end guitar strum and simple piano chords, strung between killer bursts of mathy prog, staccato and dynamic, the whole track eventually twisting itself into some slow burning hard rocking blow out, propulsive and relentless. Later on comes another lengthy jam, the strangely titled 'U.X.I.B.,' rife with wild wailing leads, a groovy main riff, fuzzed out organ, and long stretches of blissed out space rock drift, with the vocals not joining in until nearly halfway through. Unlike a lot of supposedly heavy "proto-metal" records, where one or two of the tracks rock super hard and the all the rest are just bad twelve bar blues bar rock, every track here is heavy and proggy and groovy and spacey and pretty dang metal for 1970." This new edition of 500 copies comes with a full-color insert.

ACID WITCH - WITCHTANIC HELLUCINATIONS
Acid Witch plays a very trippy, psychedelic and unsurprisingly horror influenced form of doom metal. Yet its delivered with such unabashed childishness and goofiness, a possible result of what the Scooby Doo cartoon theme would sound like if Electric Wizard had penned it. You'l find elements of Cathedral here, some Witchfinder General there, and some slight nods to Pentagram. Add to that some of Electric Wizard's ultra bassy, fuzzy, and distorted guitar tone and booming production values. Like other traditional doom metal albums, the riffs and rhythm patterns move in a lumbering and lurching fashion yet somehow the Witchsters inject some nice doses of sensual grooves that recall '70s Deep Purple. During various listening sessions I felt like I was inside Satan smoke filled strip club watching strippers complete with horns and cloven hooves gyrating their lovely tail clad asses for the merriment of us sinners and then suddenly I somehow realized that perhaps hell isn't really a bad place after all.

HOUR OF 13 - 333 (BLACK)
With just their self-titled debut album, Hour of 13 had already gained recognition as one of the most noteworthy old school Heavy/Doom Metal acts in today's scene, a status they cemented with their following full lengths "The Ritualist" and "333". When we let the band out of their contract so they could sign with a bigger label we retained the rights to release their next two full lengths on vinyl. The first of these is their 3rd album, entitled "333". The LP comes in gatefold jacket with new artwork, limited 400x black.

RAUHNACHT - WALDEINSAMKEIT
"Waldeinsamkeit"is completely based on the lyrics and sounds of STURMPERCHT, the legendary creators of Alpine Folk Music. Limited to only 80 copies on transparent vinyl, so don't sleep! This mini-album with a playing time of 28 minutes was in fact recorded BEFORE the debut album "Vorweltschweigen", but due to unknown reasons never finished. In autumn 2012 the band was able to complete the recordings, so that we could finally release this pearl of finest Alpineblackmetal now. RAUHNACHT is a dark journey through deep forests and misty mountains, full of Alpine battle hymns and grim martial anthems for mountain trolls. "Waldeinsamkeit" (means: forest solitude) is deeply engrained in alpine mysticism, ancient pagan rites and heathen legends around strange fairies and wild folks. This sinister album entrains you to arcane mountains, dark chasms and gloomy underwood and guides you to the most secret places in the very depth of the holy Central European Alps, where wild hunters meet creepy creatures from dusk til dawn.

This is the second part of Sink's Holy Testament opus. Finnish underground psychedelic black-drone nomads lead us down a spiral path to nothingness. The first song 'Into the Sun' has a significant similarity to Sabbath's 'Children of the Grave', but it also recalls Trouble's self titled album from 1990.

Inspired by early SODOM, NME, BULLDOZER and MOTORHEAD , the man may have put out more splits so far than most of the bands combined in their whole career, he simply doesn't give a fuck! On the A side of this new split, "Rock'n'Roll Sluts" is just the last in line of many songs hes penned about, well, women and rock'n'roll (duh!) and it just shows - as if one needed that! - that he's lost none of his fucking touch! Having already shared diverse pieces of wax with such dangerous outlaws wearing a torn KREATOR t-shirts as MIDNIGHT, BARBATOS, FASTKILL or NEKROMANTHEON, you can trust Yusuyuki not to team up with wimps. So do not fear: although it is their first official release after only a rehearsal tape last year, Croatias HELLS BOMBER, represented here by two blistering tracks as ungracious and rude as possible, share the exact same spirit, drink the same shitty alcohol and fuck the same sluts. With such high-calibre split as this one, rock'n'roll will truly never die!

CENTINEX - TEUTONISCHE INVASION
Dead, buried but not forgotten. CENTINEX may have officially split in 2006 with both DEMONICAL and INTERMENT kind of carrying out its legacy but the recent LP reissues of Subconscious Lobotomy (The Crypt) or Malleus Maleficarum (Night Of The Living Vinyl) alone is a vivid proof the memory of this great Swedish death-metal warrior lives on. And DOOMENTIA is proud to add this cool item to its mausoleum. In case you were wondering and in case that cover (remember Persecution Mania?) and title didnt give the word away just yet, yes, this posthumous 7 inches includes two very special cover songs: SODOMs "Enchanted Land" and KREATORs "Ripping Corpse". Funny enough, those two covers had been recorded by the same classic line-up yet eighteen months apart and they sound quite different to say the least. If the former was initially recorded in late 2000 yet made only available three years through a split 7 inches shared with NUNSLAUGHTER aptly called Hail Germania, the later was committed to tape in march 99 and released first through a Tribute to Kreator album by Fullmoon Productions, before being added as a bonus track to the CD re-release of Malleus Maleficarum in 2003. Yet it makes here its first apparition on wax. Finally available again and working as a fitting tribute to both the classic sound of the German thrash metal scene of the 80s and CENTINEX, Teutonischen Invasion is for true maniacs only!

MURDER SQUAD - HUMAN GENOCIDE/BLACKNESS WITHIN
2 Autopsy covers: 'Human Genocide' and 'Blackness Within', recorded in 2002 for a release that never happened. As you may know, Murder Squad was an all star project featuring (ex-) members of Entombed, Dismember, Nifelheim and bunch of other great bands. Chris Reifert himself plays drums on 'Blackness Within'. Limited to 384 black vinyl copies.

So you thought you were safe from TANGORODRIM didnt you? That the recent, deluxe re-release on vinyl only of their third album (originally released in 2003) was a one-off shot? That you could go back to your safe, PC and Casio-sponsored nice black-metal and forget about those ugly punks once and for all? Well, think again. Now fully back on track with a now expanded four-piece line-up and right in the wake of the recent release of an impressive EP through Norways APOCALYPTIC EMPIRE (Two Iron Rules), Israels most bastard sons are back with a vengeance with this split and two epic tracks, including the 7+ minutes fist-in-the-face-God that is "Unholy From The Hooves To The Horns". Fear not, their brother-in-arms from SALUTE arent resting on their laurels either though. As a matter of fact, while their earlier material was first and foremost about black dirty nroll, dope and fucking in the streets, including one great split 7 inches with OCCVLTA last year on DOOMENTIA, those two new songs (plus one bonus track weve sworn secrecy about but hush, hush) feel like a bit of departure for the Bristol boys but retain their unmistakable thirst for all things evil. And yes, they would still make Nocturno Culto and Fenriz proud. All in all, over 25 minutes of evil made sound, rounded by a fitting artwork by Peppe Simmons from BUNKER 66.

ACID DEATHTRIP - ACID DEATHTRIP

With lyrics that borderline on complete and utter retardation, drug-fuelled tales of madness, pagan midgets and nudist goat-monks radiate through raw and clean vocals surrounded by riffs that seduce elephants in heat and drums that crush the very thickest of skulls, ACID DEATHTRIP is ready to roll up its sleeves and unzip its pants for a golden shower of power. Anyone into filthy, dirty and all out incredible rock'n'roll metal and bands like Alabama Thunderpussy, Entombed, Saint Vitus or Orange Goblin can't afford to miss out!

BLACKTASK - BLACKTASK/SPIKES TO THE WALL
BLACKTASK was a Philadelphia metal band that existed from 1983 to 1987. They were heavily influenced by Venom, Motörhead, early Slayer and added a dash of punk. This limited edition LP contains Blacktask's ultra rare eponymous 12-inch EP from 1985, backed with their 1984 'Spikes To The Wall' demo tape, nine songs total. Includes a repro of the original lyric sheet and a 12"x24" poster collecting various original write ups, reviews and rare photos. Edition of 500 on black vinyl.

BONGRIPPER/HATE - SPLIT LP
