Fourth repress of their 2010 album. This album has only four tracks: 'Hail', 'Satan', 'Worship', and 'Doom', each spanning more than ten-minutes in length. The harsh, epic, menacing sound of these songs is difficult to describe; the closest I can get is saying that if DXM were a metal album, it would be Bongripper's 'Satan Worshipping Doom'. In spite of this album's lack of vocal tracks, the concept of the album is clear. Unlike the drug-obsessed sludge of previous Bongripper-releases, this one is an ode to hardcore Satanism. The hypnotic beats and overtly devil-worshipping cover art and song titles more than let us know. Not only is this change in concept refreshing, it's pretty fucking cool. The songs on this album are slow, menacing, and fucking awesome, especially when combined with a fat sack of weed or (better yet) a refreshing bottle of DXM cough syrup.

Volture is the brainchild of bassist Ryan Waste (known for his work with Municipal Waste) and guitarist Nick Poulus (an ex-member of Cannabis Corspe). Both got together over a beer (or four) to form the band in Richmond VA in November 2008. The song writing leaned toward traditional Euro/US Metal and the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. The two friends were joined by drummer Barry Cover and vocalist Brent Hubbard (who was later replaced by Jack Bauer).

Except that ORDO INFERUS isn't trying to surf on the current old-school trend. Nor does it pretend to be just a one-off thing. As a matter of fact, by the time you'll be able to put your sweaty hands on this debut 10" inch, they will already be working on their first proper full-length. And if you can trust those first three tracks, this is going to be a monster! To put it simply, death-metal it is but a catchy-as-hell yet heavy version of it that even dares to be melodic in places, the kind of songs that instantly stick unto your mind with their big choruses the first time you hear it. HORN OF THE RHINO - BREED THE CHOSEN ONE (2LP)
After the two successful releases of Weight of Coronation in 2010 and Grengus two years later, one could say its only logical to see both DOOMENTIA and HORN OF THE RHINO once again joining forces, but this time for a good old blast from the past. Originally released through 7th GATE RECORDS back in 2007, Breed the Chosen One was the first of the two albums the Basque Country-based proud three-headed monster initially recorded as RHINO. Even if compared to their later works that debut will probably sound a tad more aggressive and thrash/hardcore-oriented, the amazing thing about it is the trio's unique blend of various styles of metal - from doom to sludge and grunge - was already firmly in place six years ago. Like DANZIG, HIGH ON FIRE and later ENTOMBED all wrapped up in one. Dark yet melodic and not afraid of pulling all stops one minute and speeding up the next, the band's main strength was already his frontman and vocalist Javier Gàlvez. Like a more possessed sounding Chris Cornell on his way down to hell, he's the one taking Breed the Chosen One to the next level, proving that the Bilbao boys hadnt waited Weight of Coronation to learn how to be and sound bloody great. This time, there's no point trying to deny the deafening stomping of the RHINO.
HORSE LATITUDES - BLACK SOIL
When speaking about Black Soil, Lurkerspath.com draws a parallel in between what ALUK TODOLO are to black-metal and what HORSE LATITUDES are to doom, like a strange entity that cannot be tamed. And theyve got a point. First off, those weirdos have ever been what you can call your typical doom band in the first place. And their extensive use of not one but TWO bass players and lack of guitar is just a part of the riddle. See, those three Finns have always been first and foremost about repetition. And theres always been something very ritualistic about their music, as if it was their way of entering the next world. And this has never been as vibrant as on this brand-new 12"MLP. This being said, MLP might not be the most appropriate term as the whole thing clocks at nearly 40 minutes, with the song "Eternal Spring" swallowing the whole B side. And whereas on the flipside both "Black Soil" and "Forest" present a quite versatile face full of analog synths, death growls and vibrant drumming, this final epic of 17 + minutes take their already legendary sense of minimalism to new heights. If at some point the song seems to come to a halt, it finishes off on an almost hysterical and black-metal like note, encompassing how truly out-of-this-world HORSE LATITUDES are.

With a name taken from one early GRAVE classic and a debut album back in 2010 whose conclusion was a faithful yet ripping cover of DISMEMBERs "Override Of The Overture", Pragues BRUTALLY DECEASED (featuring members of JIG-AI and HEAVING EARTH) never even bothered to hide what theyve been all about from day one. And those three new tracks, their first since the recording of Dead Lovers Guide, are no different: recorded back in April at Studio Davos in their hometown, "Deceased", "Waking The Lifeless" and "Bloodstreams" have the same buzzsaw guitar sound, roughness and urge to hark back to the days when ENTOMBED and death-metal the Swedish way ruled the world! From one Swedish devotee to the actual thing. While BRUTALLY DECEASED are left emulating the sound of yore, INTERMENT dont even need to bother on the other hand, simply because they were there to witness it firsthand as they formed as back as 1988 in Avesta, Sweden. And ever since they got back together in 2002 after a long hiatus, those seasoned veterans from CENTINEX, DEMONICAL or DELLAMORTE (among many others) have proven that unlike others, they havent deviated from their initial course. Proof being those three new tracks (including a reworking of an old song from their first demo, "Cranial Putrefaction"), the first ones since the recording three years of the Into The Crypts Of Blasphemy album.
MASTER - FUNERAL BITCH
This is the first time these tracks are being made available on vinyl. Even if it includes the same four bonus tracks as the CD version, to make it even more special, it's been once again given a new title ('Funeral Bitch') and a new, more fitting and blasphemous artwork, rounded up with the usual high quality standards DOOMENTIA is known for. So, as Speckmann said it himself in the song that gave the band its name: "We are your Masters/So set your soul free!"

Even if OvO is a difficult band to file, we can still see an evolution from "Assassine"s total improv to "Cor Cordium"s radical noise rock. "ABISSO" open a new artistic era for this duo, formed by Stefania Pedretti and Bruno Dorella. Theres a new richness in their sound, brought by the use of samples, drum machines, pads, field recordings and synths. "Cor Cordium" and the previous album "CroceVia" were a point of no return for their minimal rock challenge, engaged in making as much sound as possible with their very few elements: Bruno's half drum set, Stefania's guitar and her incredible voice. The new challenge is to go beyond it, using contemporary music tools to keep on being creative and evolve. For this step OvO had the priceless help of Giulio "Ragno" Favero at the mixing desk, Giovanni Versari's mastering, and the friendly collaboration of Alan Dubin (ex OLD, Khanate, now in Gnaw) and Carla Bozulich with her full band Evangelista. Both got together over a beer (or four) to form the band in Richmond VA in November 2008. The song writing leaned toward traditional Euro/US Metal and the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. The two friends were joined by drummer Barry Cover and vocalist Brent Hubbard (who was later replaced by Jack Bauer).

After all, it's not that often you get musicians spread over two different continents with such a pedigree getting together in the name of death fucking metal. And who the hell would dare to say that Hempa Brynolfsson (EXCRUCIATE), Daryl Kahan (DISMA, FUNEBRARUM), Tony Freed (GODHATE, THRONEAEON), Martin Halfdan (NECROPHOBIC) and Jann Bjoknfall (MASTICATION, MORPHEUS, MALFEITOR) don't know shit about said genre?! Except that ORDO INFERUS isn't trying to surf on the current old-school trend. Nor does it pretend to be just a one-off thing. As a matter of fact, by the time you'll be able to put your sweaty hands on this debut 10" inch, they will already be working on their first proper full-length. And if you can trust those first three tracks, this is going to be a monster! To put it simply, death-metal it is but a catchy-as-hell yet heavy version of it that even dares to be melodic in places, the kind of songs that instantly stick unto your mind with their big choruses the first time you hear it. HORN OF THE RHINO - BREED THE CHOSEN ONE (2LP)
After the two successful releases of Weight of Coronation in 2010 and Grengus two years later, one could say its only logical to see both DOOMENTIA and HORN OF THE RHINO once again joining forces, but this time for a good old blast from the past. Originally released through 7th GATE RECORDS back in 2007, Breed the Chosen One was the first of the two albums the Basque Country-based proud three-headed monster initially recorded as RHINO. Even if compared to their later works that debut will probably sound a tad more aggressive and thrash/hardcore-oriented, the amazing thing about it is the trio's unique blend of various styles of metal - from doom to sludge and grunge - was already firmly in place six years ago. Like DANZIG, HIGH ON FIRE and later ENTOMBED all wrapped up in one. Dark yet melodic and not afraid of pulling all stops one minute and speeding up the next, the band's main strength was already his frontman and vocalist Javier Gàlvez. Like a more possessed sounding Chris Cornell on his way down to hell, he's the one taking Breed the Chosen One to the next level, proving that the Bilbao boys hadnt waited Weight of Coronation to learn how to be and sound bloody great. This time, there's no point trying to deny the deafening stomping of the RHINO.
HORSE LATITUDES - BLACK SOIL
When speaking about Black Soil, Lurkerspath.com draws a parallel in between what ALUK TODOLO are to black-metal and what HORSE LATITUDES are to doom, like a strange entity that cannot be tamed. And theyve got a point. First off, those weirdos have ever been what you can call your typical doom band in the first place. And their extensive use of not one but TWO bass players and lack of guitar is just a part of the riddle. See, those three Finns have always been first and foremost about repetition. And theres always been something very ritualistic about their music, as if it was their way of entering the next world. And this has never been as vibrant as on this brand-new 12"MLP. This being said, MLP might not be the most appropriate term as the whole thing clocks at nearly 40 minutes, with the song "Eternal Spring" swallowing the whole B side. And whereas on the flipside both "Black Soil" and "Forest" present a quite versatile face full of analog synths, death growls and vibrant drumming, this final epic of 17 + minutes take their already legendary sense of minimalism to new heights. If at some point the song seems to come to a halt, it finishes off on an almost hysterical and black-metal like note, encompassing how truly out-of-this-world HORSE LATITUDES are.

This is an unearthed full length from the first Sacred Bones band ever, with a major cult following in NY. Two members went on to join CULT OF YOUTH.
INTERMENT/BRUTALLY DEDEASED - GLORY DAYS, FESTERING YEARS

With a name taken from one early GRAVE classic and a debut album back in 2010 whose conclusion was a faithful yet ripping cover of DISMEMBERs "Override Of The Overture", Pragues BRUTALLY DECEASED (featuring members of JIG-AI and HEAVING EARTH) never even bothered to hide what theyve been all about from day one. And those three new tracks, their first since the recording of Dead Lovers Guide, are no different: recorded back in April at Studio Davos in their hometown, "Deceased", "Waking The Lifeless" and "Bloodstreams" have the same buzzsaw guitar sound, roughness and urge to hark back to the days when ENTOMBED and death-metal the Swedish way ruled the world! From one Swedish devotee to the actual thing. While BRUTALLY DECEASED are left emulating the sound of yore, INTERMENT dont even need to bother on the other hand, simply because they were there to witness it firsthand as they formed as back as 1988 in Avesta, Sweden. And ever since they got back together in 2002 after a long hiatus, those seasoned veterans from CENTINEX, DEMONICAL or DELLAMORTE (among many others) have proven that unlike others, they havent deviated from their initial course. Proof being those three new tracks (including a reworking of an old song from their first demo, "Cranial Putrefaction"), the first ones since the recording three years of the Into The Crypts Of Blasphemy album.
MASTER - FUNERAL BITCH
This is the first time these tracks are being made available on vinyl. Even if it includes the same four bonus tracks as the CD version, to make it even more special, it's been once again given a new title ('Funeral Bitch') and a new, more fitting and blasphemous artwork, rounded up with the usual high quality standards DOOMENTIA is known for. So, as Speckmann said it himself in the song that gave the band its name: "We are your Masters/So set your soul free!"
OVO - ABISSO
Even if OvO is a difficult band to file, we can still see an evolution from "Assassine"s total improv to "Cor Cordium"s radical noise rock. "ABISSO" open a new artistic era for this duo, formed by Stefania Pedretti and Bruno Dorella. Theres a new richness in their sound, brought by the use of samples, drum machines, pads, field recordings and synths. "Cor Cordium" and the previous album "CroceVia" were a point of no return for their minimal rock challenge, engaged in making as much sound as possible with their very few elements: Bruno's half drum set, Stefania's guitar and her incredible voice. The new challenge is to go beyond it, using contemporary music tools to keep on being creative and evolve. For this step OvO had the priceless help of Giulio "Ragno" Favero at the mixing desk, Giovanni Versari's mastering, and the friendly collaboration of Alan Dubin (ex OLD, Khanate, now in Gnaw) and Carla Bozulich with her full band Evangelista.
