shootout, sm57 vs i5 vs audio technica at4040

I was bored/tone testing for a song tomorrow and decided to try these 3 out. The only reason I tried the at4040 was because I've used it on cleans before and it sounded nice so I though I'd try it on dirty stuff.


The results are pretty standard and as I'd expect really

I listened to it a metre away from a pair of headphones lol. 57 wins of course, a nice full mid range and no freaky cuts. Will give it a proper listen tomorrow

The guitar sound is horrible, but between these, SM57 wins.

hey scott, most guitar sounds aren't exactly stellar on their own, you only need to goto youtube and listen to some 'guitar only tracks' to see my point.
