Do any of you guys edit with out the di tracks? Like editing the actual miced amp track? If so, how the hell do you do it...it seems nearly impossible to pick out notes in the wave.

I don't see how anyone could edit a guitar track that has been miced up, at least if you are planning on editing note by note.

Haha speaking of DIs ... I love how easy it is to edit DIs and running it through an amp sim. You can get away with so much shit, it's ridiculous. I crossfade everything just to do it "right" but you can get away with everything even without fading, there's no pop or click or anything.. gotta love that 
Buhuuu, now that all the rhythm guitars are tracked, and soon all the leads and melodies will be tracked too, I will have a few long nights of editing to look forward to. Not that I plan to edit everything to the grid but just some general tightening up and mostly cleaning up between notes and stuff.
