There's a TC M-One XL in the rack below the Echo Pro, IIRC.

Could you also use the Control 24/D Command to EQ the source signal before it goes to tape? (I suppose you've set your direct outs to post EQ/pre Fader and use the Mackie's channel strip to tweak the sound a bit before going from the direct outs to the interface!?)

I pretty much bypass the Mackie EQ on everything except sometimes its nice to EQ the vocals a bit while tracking.

I mainly just set the preamp trim level and use the channel fader to fine tune and the direct out goes to the converters.

As far as I have been told, the Control 24 channel strip is not active on the channel inputs while tracking. Don't know how the D Command works. Quite possible that its the same.

But I figure that its probably better to use a nice outboard Pre or EQ for anything that needs it while tracking.

Then the rest of the board is there for hands on mixing.

lots of great gear on here! :kickass:

i'll just post all i have pictures of, even tho some of it's crap, not in use and/or not even at home!

+ an ampeg ba-115 i got for a couple of beers which is beeing fixed now, and some krk v8II's on the way!

Phoncible does that Rickenbacker with the computer cable still work? It hurts me to see him like that :erk: I'll buy it from you if this is its fate :waah:

tis my first bass, and its a copy indeed! bought it for something like 100$ in lithuania. sounds like utter shit and plays even worse! but it still kicks ass and i love it like nothing else <3

Yeah, I'd like to hear the Randall also.

Exocaster - I'd like to hear that JMP as well. Is the JMP considered more of a heavy blues and rock amp able to achieve tones like ac/dc to Rush or is it also like the JCM 800 which I guess is capable of Iron Maiden to late '80's thrash/early '90's death metal tone?

some sweet gear in here!

i'd also like to hear some randall modular recordings, i always hear great things about them but never any cilps

The JMP in question is a master volume 2204. Minus some minor circuit difference (caps, I think) it's the same amp as the JCM 800 2204 (only in a cooler looking headshell :p).

On it's own, it'll do Iron Maiden and that sort of thing just fine. It needs a boost to go into heavier territory, but it's got a ballsy, agressive tone that more than makes up for any lack of gain. The single channel JMPs and JCM 800s- 2203s and 2204s- aren't really high gain amps on their own; they need a bit of a push (or a shove! :kickass: ) from a pedal for thrash and death metal tones, but they'll certainly do 'em. The 2205 and 2210 two channel models have significantly more gain. They're retardedly loud, too. My 2204 cut just fine in a band mix with the master on 2, and it's a 50 watter. Old Marshalls seriously pwn modern high gainers volume-wise. As a frame of reference, I used to run a JCM 2000 TSL on 6 with the same band.

Here's a clip of the JMP. Heavy rock stuff in C# tuning, not metal, really. As far as the chain, It's an LTD EC1000 with a Duncan Custom 5 in the bridge --> Boss SD-1 with the level cranked up, gain somewhere under 9:00 --> JMP --> Marshall cab with Vintage 30s --> off-axis SM57. It's a bit fizzy, as the volume's really, really low- as in "1 or less", but it's the only clip I can find ATM. The rhythm guitars are all JMP; I played the lead through the SD-1 into a Pod XT with the Treadplate model.

Haha, love it dude. How are those Behringer Truth monitors? I figure if Behringer is gonna charge as much as they do for 'em, they must be decent. And how much for that progessive guitar? I think I saw Holdsworth playing one once

Oh, and that is one monster printer, jesus!

got any recordings of that Randall ? Just curious how the new Randall stuff sounds under a mic ?:Smug:

nope sorry, barely got to play it since i bought it half a year ago. dont have the opportunity to pack up a 4x12 at home, and much less make a good recording of it!

might get an attenuator and run it direct tho.

may also get some clips when i'm recording the band whom's rehersal place its in now, but i'm not even sure if theres any cabs i can use there, much less any good ones!

For the price they're very nice :) Comparing to Genelec, Adam, KRK etc is not wise anyways, as they cost three times as much

I think 10 - 15 euros  or 15 - 20 USD.

Laser, baby! :) Got it for 20 euros (25 USD)
