Now that Per is in the band.........it would be sweet if he played silhouette as a solo at a live show.

I would love to see him play Silhouette straight into Ghost of Perdition.

It's more about it being something different (particularly on an album like Orchid tends to be either dueling distorted harmonies or calm acoustic passages). And it also has a surprising amount of energy to it, which most of these type of instrumental interludes (in Opeth and elsewhere in the metal world) don't tend to have - most often going for something more subtle.
