hahaha... erm... Why are we laughing?. Yeah, like I said, I can't really criticise it yet. The advert makes it look kind of lame, I dunno why. And I wasn't saying this one sucks. I was saying its predecessors were garbage though (that's undeniable). I was also saying this one is not a comic book based movie. It's based on the film franchise.DreamNeonBlack said:Someone seems pretty down on a movie that they haven't even seen yet.![]()
Well I read film reviews and previews, and they all say it isn't based on a comic book and is a new script, meant to be part of the Burton film ideas.Metalskater"no" said:You should read more comics before criticizing.
It still isnt a based on that comic if it doesnt acknowledge the flash back and 'begin middle and end' the way that comic does, or similarly. They are not claiming artistic license on "The Dark Knight".lillitu said:Doesn't the Batman: The Dark Knight have some flashbacks to his beginnings?
Your ignorance is laughable. Do you really think that critics who review movies know anything about the original comics. Sure Burton took poetic license with the film. Burton has undoubtedly read more Batman comics than any of those critic frauds, and as I said in an earlier post: "This movie is closer to the storyline of the comics than any Batman movie prior to it". I never said it was an exact replica of any Batman comic series. As to the reply to Lillitu, Lillitu never said they based it on Dark Knight Returns, it was merely stated that there is flashbacks in the comic that gives history on Batman's beginnings.King Chaos said:Well I read film reviews and previews, and they all say it isn't based on a comic book and is a new script, meant to be part of the Burton film ideas.

I would check it out if it half the text wasn't out of the scrollers range... But if he says 'we created an atmosphere closer to the comics than anyone else so far', which is what I expect this will be about, then good for him. I've heard it many a time. Maybe they're trying to argue now that this is based on many seperate elements of the comic, and therefore is still based on the comic... but if they are doing this its because people took a distaste to the original statement that it was indeed a prequel to the Burton films.goreISart said:On the contrary, my good man.

go to interviews and read the David Goyer interview.
Maybe I shouldn't have said reviews. More like journalism then. And think back. I uphold, and begun this line of argument because this cannot be the best comic book movie ever, as the comic book movie has quickly become popular a subgenre in the action/adventure catagory, and Sin City is the absolution in how to make a 'comic book' film. This film looks like a great action film to me, maybe it will be a better film, but it won't be a better comic book film. It's like saying Children of Bodom are a better Deathmetal band than Nile. Some may hold cob in higher regard, but it doesn't mean they're better at deathmetal.metalskater1 said:Your ignorance is laughable. I didn't even think there even was a comic about batmans beginning.

I'm glad this mature debate found such a sensible conclusion. When did your sister tell you her pet name for me? Although she calls me 'the chaos cock', as I like to rip it up hardcore style.metalskater7 said:Cock Chaos.
Well then I shouldn't really have to point it out, but dude, you're so off topicmetalskater7 said:Oh, I'm sorry I wasn't making funny of you. I just thought cock chaos was a funny expression.
