it's really really awesome. The additional scenes are great, especially the alternate cut of Dave Mustaine.

Can't talk anymore, gotta get back to watching it more!

I saw it yesterday at Blockbuster for $38. Would love to watch it. Is it easy to sit through or does it become a bit tedious? I'm not the worlds biggest Metallica fan, but I do really love alot of their shit

well I've watched everything except the Filmmakers commentary.

Some really interesting stuff...

the scene that really made my jaw drop was when Toby the metclub guy and close friend to the band got that phone call from Jason about not letting him know about the secret Metallica gig and calling them a bunch of homos. That was absolutely crazy.

I also liked the scene where Jason heard the rumour that Peter Mensch (Metallica manager) got Voivod kicked off the bill at some festival and believed it. Then they ring Mensch up and ask him and he says: "What? I didn't do that at all.. I didn't even know he was in Voivod" and Lars gets really frustrated and yells at the camera: "HE LEFT THE FUCKING BAND. IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND? HE IS THE ONE WHO LEFT... WHY ARE WE THE BAD GUYS?" or something along those lines.

Anywho... fucking amazing.

The film itself was excellent and didn't bore me at all. Getting through all the stuff on the DVD probably would though. I plan to buy it ASAP.

Not this time. I actually paid for it, albeit I had a $20 gift voucher, so I didn't have to pay very much. It was actually a toss up between SKOM and the Pantera Vulgar Videos, but I wasn't sure if I could watch them without crying so I went for Metallica instead.

Yeah, I still haven't been able to pull out the Vid's out yet. But on a lighter note I am hoping to dye my beard pink for the Metal for the Brain \m/
