My pre-order was posted on the 8th, so I'm hoping it's gonna arrive tomorrow.
I really haven't kept up with the pre-release media, I have seen the reviews it's been getting, and am hopeful however.

i haven't preordered it, but i'm planning to buy it very soon. pretty excited although i wasn't really that much of a fan of oblivion. mainly because when it first came out i didn't have anything to play it on and it was pretty dated when i was able to, highlighting all its worst flaws.

Thing is, I have mastering work to do until saturday, tracking on sunday, then one day at my parents, then tracking for a week. FML.
Not sure which class I will play this time... I'm thinking of trying the battlemage? Last time (=Oblivion) I played mage and the first half of the game was incredibly hard because neither the staffs nor the fireballs etc were good enough to kill hard enemies.. every fight was a matter of luck. So either the battlemage is even worse because he can't do anything right - or it's exactly what I want.

ohhh man just watched some videos and i'm stoked! it looked far better than i had anticipated. doesn't look to suffer from the oblivion engine problems at all.
still not sure if it still has it or not, but they've done a great job hiding it, unlike in fallout: new vegas...

Some of the criticisms for PC seem to center around the menu interface. Other than that it's getting glowing reviews pretty much everywhere. Can't wait to play it tomorrow, it's going to completely eat my weekend and then some.
I usually like to play Dark Elf, and as much of an archer as I can be with a bit of swordsmanship thrown in. With the new way of magic casting I may have to use quite a bit more than I use to on previous ES games.

Thief was the best class in Morrowind - brb stealing everything, selling it to other traders then spending all stolen money to buy level increases.
In Oblivion it just flat out sucked - brb being level 19 and getting killed by a rogue bear.

My little brother has had Skyrim on the calender for months ha. He will be going into seclusion. Tbh I haven't played Oblivion, mostly due to lazyness and feeling no need after watching my brother beat it sideways multiple times, but did love Morrowind. I may have to start a file in Skyrim though. Looks like sheer dopeness.
Also it may be noteworthy that after Monday I will be running around the city of Steelport punching people in the dick and slapping them with dildo bats in Saints: The Third. Already made a badass chick character with the Initiation Station.
