Slipknot drummer to play on next Opeth cd?

My friend told me that he got the latest May issue of Metal Edge and on page 25 there is an interview with Joey, the slipknot drummer. And it says int he interview "I played drums on the new Opeth. I play on like 5 songs."

I dont believe this at all really, maybe a typo? But kinda strange I need to check it out.

It's not true, but it was it would be the stupidest thing Opeth has ever done, musical ethics aside. Lopez is so much better than Jordinson.

probably meant otep

Yeah, looks like it. This interview is too similar for it to be coincidence.

"S&T: Did you clean house before you started production? What’s the timeline on the lineup change?

Otep: Well the drummer left about a year ago...

S&T: And Joey Jordison (of Slipknot) did some of the drums on the record...

Otep: Joey Jordison played six songs on the new record and we’re completely amazed at how that turned out. And the guitar player was released as we were laying down tracks for the new record.

..."

He is a jazz drummer and on drummerworld.com you can find a video of him playing some nice stuff. He is no Lopez but he doesnt deserve to be in a band like Slipknot. He could play in much better bands.

 Nice one.

Alright, personal biases aside, I've heard from many sources that Joey Jordison is a really good drummer though.
I've heard with my own two ears that Martin Lopez is better. Not to discredit Joey, or anything. :yuk:
