I dont disagree with you Mutant but man, that chord progression was done a million times by million other bands. It´s very predictible and boring, well at least the verse and I dont even gonna mention those leads over the chords. Seems that they are recycling and ripping their own riffs over and over. So at this point it´s not funny anymore.

But let clarify that I didnt listen the whole album, but only the 3 songs I heard are quite weak and doesnt bring nothing new that havent been done before.
So I´ll pass this album.

Still my favorite AE song by far.

I think the new album is interesting to say the least, I agree that powermetal with death vocals song is pretty weak, but As The Pages Burn is brilliant, and after hearing the whole album there's a few songs that stand out as pretty damn good, and most of them are in the "not bad" category for me, instantly better than Khaos Legions IMO.

I was dubious after the first track they released from the new album, but got more into it after As the pages burn...

Loved Up to doomsday machine and some tracks from Rise of the Tyrant, but my interest fizzled from there... This is got me back listening to their stuff... Need to get my ticket to see them when they play up here later in the year...
