dude, no. ALL of southern california. the housing market out here is the biggest it's ever been. i tried to buy a house for $290k, 70 miles away from Los Angeles. ONE HOUR after it went on the market, 92 bids were placed on the house. it was nothing special.
FUCK that. endless people, traffic, smog, stink, beaners, unaffordable real estate. move away dude.

hahahahahaha

it's funny how i want to leave the stupid big city, but i'd totally live in SF or NYC. those places rule.

No offense, but it's not even close to being a rationale comparison.
agreed. id like to live in paris someday. i know the appeal. but, is it worth it? i mean, how many times a week do you get to make it to the MoM? sounds like you work all the time.

oh wait, doesn't it snow like fuck in NYC? i don't want to live there. Frisco just has rain, that doesn't bug me.

hey what about Seattle? god dammit i need to take a trip up the coast, find a new place to plant my ass.

you're right ... totally.

and this is the fucking problem here ... yet most people that live in Manhattan for example would look at you like you were crazy if you suggested to them to move to just the outer boroughs ... a 3 mile commute would save them $1000 a month in rent ... at least.

nobody moves ..

You mean, post on the internet all the time. :loco:

I didn't say I cared about the MoM, lol (though I've been and it's magnificent). But it's all the bars, the clubs, every single tour on earth that comes through here (multiple times), the Yankees, the Rangers, a football stadium, the beach, every kind of shopping known to mankind, some of the best food & restaurants in the world, people of every walk of life and ethnic background, endless career choices, educational options; in short, everything that someone like me could want out of life.

Hell, I'm less than 4 other major cities too, in case NYC doesn't have something I'm interested in doing at the time.

Adrian, I think you'd fucking love Seattle. I'm dead serious. It's my 2nd-favorite city in the country.

@lurch: heheh, why not?

hahaha one my friends went to Parsons and racked up $45824985349857 in debt for school AND living expenses. she couldnt afford to live there after graduation and had to move back to ohio.

i don't think it can be explained really ... you have to live here ...

I honestly don't think NYC is part of America ...

there is a sign on the highway when you enter Pennsylvania that reads ...

Welcome To Pennsylvania / America Starts Here ... total truth!

@gugs: sure, if thats what you want. but dont you think the VAST majority of new yorkers are mindless rat racers? (as are most people in the world) i mean, i doubt the majority of people are like, "i love NY because of all the wonderful opportunities!" (as they take a taxi to the nearest mcdonalds)

i wish i had that option here, but people commute 150 miles a day so it's all widespread. ugh.

yeah, i'm going to Seattle this March. scope out there and Vancouver for jobs/houses/bitchez/nachos/etc.

again ... you are right ... but if these people did not exist and keep this city humming ... the rest of the country would be in the shitter too ...

we did get attacked for a reason here ... don't kid yourself.

A lot are sure, but you'd be surprised just how prideful people are about New York. It's indescribable.

thats what i dont get.
the rest of us have always heard how AWESOME new york is. yet, none of us give a flying fuck. we get tired of the media's attititude that NY is the center of the universe (im not saying real new yorkers, like youselves, portray this). you get to a point where you start ignoring anyting about new york.

but NY IS the center of the universe :loco:

do people immigrate to Cairo to make money and better their lives for their family.

it really is the financial heartbeat of this nation ... no matter how you look at it.

you know, i didn't "get" it either until i went there. NYC fucking rules, that's all there is to it. although it is fun to laugh at the cultured/McDonald's idiots too, haha.
