Jackson RR24 Limited Edition (LTD) *FIXED*
Heres the story. First found it on auction on ebay and won it (around $1000) but im not in the states right now so the guitar is stuck over at my relatives place. Then a few hours ago I found another one on ebay... shipped worldwide ($80) and was onli $699. Was a bargin, couldn't resist such a steal!
So I'd be getting it in a week or so I guess. I'll be changing the hardware to gold
, put in a MM04, and change the pickups. I don't know what kind of pickups I'm going to put in yet. Obviously I would like to put in a J50BC or J90C but haven't managed to get my hands on any yet. I would prefer the J90C over the J50BC actually but I think I'll get both if I could (since I have 2 anyways ). My friend tells me to try out Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates, Gibson 498T or DiMarzio Air Classic. Some suggestions on which pickup to try would be nice. Btw what tuners should I change to on the RR24? All I know is it's sealed dye-cast wtv tuners. I do not want to buy the wrong brand and have to end up drilling new holes for em.
As I only have 1 MM04 (taken out of my edwards, swapped with EMG ALX set) I'll be needing another boost for the other guitar (I guess). I actually have no idea about any other boost out there. I know the PA2 which I have on my schecter but it does kinda sucks. I'm probably not gonna get another MM04 either at this point. I have the schematics of the JE1000 that I got from the other thread a while back and I think I'll let the music stores guys try to make it. If successful then awesome
I kinda just thought of a stupid idea just now for my other guitar. How about I put in a neck pickup on it! Heard quite a few of ppl saying a 24 fret RR with a neck pickup would be nice. Tell me what you guys think.
