So, it's come to this... More shameless self-promotion for Mr. Final Stage. :) I'd just like to briefly plug that in less than 24 hours, I'll be debuting my new melodic metal radio show at our local University's radio station (broadcasting to a potential audience of 6 million people!). The show will be called The Signals of Intuition airing Saturday Nights (or really early Sunday Morning) from 2am-4am EST.

If any of you are interested, the station streams live 24/7 and if you miss it and wish to hear it, it's available on their website for 30 days immediately following the broadcast in the archive section.

Note: I'm not posting about this purely as a shameless self-promotion (though, God knows I've done my share on this board) as I'm going to talk about the upcoming Prog-Power festival, new Megadeth record, etc. In addition to that, I'll be playing everything from Sabbath to Queensryche to Vanden Plas to Wolf. So think of this as the UMOS show. :saint:

Self promotion is forbidden by rules of the board (read them)...but I'v always let regulars with bands to get away with it so... :headbang:

Don't know if you're bind by any rules, but if you have a good amount of freedom play what regular radio doesn't. Suprise the audience, and even if the format its melodic metal push a bit of thrash, doom, black or death that may fit (unless that's the common factor in other stations). My point is BE different, that will draw the audience, and yes promote new bands don't stick with the usual suspects. Also talk to other members of the board who have bands, some promotion may help them too as well as Final Stage (but don't play Loudness just in case somedoby notice you now what :p).

Congrats with the new endeavour, I hope it really works for you and the audience...and please don't be such a tight-$#% with production :saint:

nice!! sounds sick. radio shows affiliated with universities are usually pretty good cos they have so much more freedom of choice as far as what to play goes.

Yeah. The college station in Bozeman has a few 1 to 3 hours segments where they play some killer metal about 5 times a week, usually at night. It all depends on the DJ. You never know what they will play. But it's never mainstream. I think you can check them out on the web. www.kglt.com

Wow, it's been a long time sinse I've posted here. Haven't had time since my new job. :headbang:
