Actually just listened to Narnia's "Course of a Generation" this morning. I had dismissed it last year as generic melodic power metal, very disappointing after the last release. The part I missed, and finally picked up this morning, is that it is REALLY GOOD generic melodic power metal! So many songs leaped right out at me......

Oh yeah, forgot about While Heaven Wept. I was a little hesitant to pick it up based on having a new singer since I enjoyed Tom Phillips' vocals so much and was afraid I wouldn't like the new guy. Well, my fears were for naught cause the new disc kicks all kind of rear end!

...and here I bought it purely BECAUSE of the new singer..... I loved his work with Altura, so had to try this one out.

Vast Oceans Lachrymose... I think I'll spin that disc again. It never clicked for me. But I always felt there was something more there than I was getting.
