So who's going to which dates?

I'm toying with the idea of going to see them in Newcastle.

As much as I love Iron maiden....the venue is pathetic. No smoking inside at all. Very bad acoustics and its just a cash cow for the owners.

However I have a tenuos family link to Janick....sooooo you never know. My uncles wife is related to him....gets kinda techical....plus Janick only lives a few miles away from me. Perhaps I should just drop in and ask him nicely lol.

And that's a bad thing why???

All of Scotland's now no smoking in public but when I went to see Guns N' Roses at the SECC, nobody bothered. Do you think the security are going to be able to stop everyone from smoking? Unless you're at the very front, they'll not be able to stop you.

I was just stating I dont think its a good venue, I saw a few people escorted out by security at the guns and roses gig, may be because of smoking, may have been smoking joints, I dont know, they were however smoking.

I would much prefer to go somewhere like the Manchester evening news arena, where I saw maiden on the brave new world tour. Trust me when I saw Newcastle is NOT a good venue for sound or punters....it is however VERY easy to get to....which is a good thing, and the facilities for disabled fans are good.

I'm not one of these I'll smoke if I like people, but you know yourself how long the concert was and the delay between Bullet for my Valentine finnishing and Guns and roses starting. It would have been nice to have had a smoking area, even if outside, but they did not provide that.

I've been to 4 shows there, 2 X Meatloaf , War of the worlds live with Jeff wayne and Guns and roses, sound quality has been very poor at all 4.

They must be tougher than Glasgow then. My friend wasn't even allowed to smoke when we saw Bon Jovi at Hampden and that's open air. As for the venue sound, I dunno why bands consistently chose venue's with bad sound.

You sound more considerate than most, you should nip to the loo for a quick fag then. ;) But that would lose you your place so I dunno!!! Quit and by December you should be ok!!
