Canada is still one of the best per capita producers of great metal. Like their label mates Besieged and Sabbatory, Solanum hail from Winnipeg. They play intense crossover thrash influenced by bands like D.R.I. and S.O.D., with an unusual twist to their riffing rare in the genre. Their new EP Judge-Mental is at press - pre-orders will go up in a couple of weeks, and CDs begin shipping by the end of June.
